Ok, dumb question.. but.. it appears this is based on the actual game. How different is the show from the game? I have only watched the show as I'm old an not a current gamer (my gaming days were original Mario, and standard arcade games). I usually have to rely on my son to tell me about the "cool games".

Not much, they’re nearly identical. Neil druckmann who is the creator of the game, also co-wrote the show.

I'd say it's pretty dang close. The show should be a good enough primer for you.

Won't lie it's a bit frustrating that the FFP went on sale for Hollywood today but not Orlando...
EDIT: Actually, going off of the press release, I'd assume we don't get FFP today:

For Universal Orlando’s event, guests can now purchase a variety of tickets and vacation packages for Halloween Horror Nights 2023 which begins Friday, September 1, including single-night tickets and event upgrades like the R.I.P. Tour, Express Pass and the daytime Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour. Guests can also stay near the screams with a special vacation package that includes one-night admission to the event, Universal hotel accommodations and admission to all three Universal Orlando theme parks. Package holders also receive theme park benefits exclusive to Universal Orlando hotel guests, such as Early Park Admission during the day and access to a dedicated Halloween Horror Nights entry gate at night. Additional ticket products, including Frequent Fear Passes, will be available soon. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets.

I'd hold off on any judgement for now. Our website hasn't even updated yet. Things may still be moving. Merch still seems to be coming today as well judging by every blogger ever being posted up at Five & Dime right now hah.

Daniel Radcliffe Why God Why GIF by Oregon Trail

Yeah, i am going to have to play the game again, but I think Hollywood always drops all their tickets at the same time. i remember buying my ffp as soon as they went on sale last year.

Yeah, if you watched the show you'll be fine. Nearly identical.

Show just changes some character moments/fleshes out some dramatic stuff that wouldn't be in the house anyway. You're not gonna be lost.

So the official description seems to suggest the entire house is set in Pittsburgh. Could someone who’s played the games outline some scenes it could include from that part of the game?

Are we making our way to Pittsburgh or is Pittsburgh the only location?
