Even with an August 30th opening this year, the event would run less less nights than last year. An August 30th - Nov 2nd run would be 47 nights, compared to last year's 48.
Yeah, but I still think "For the first time ever, Halloween Horror Nights will begin in August" should be used during HHN 35. Imo, I think it would be cool to reach a milestone like that during an anniversary year.

I don’t think you’ll see a lot of anniversary hype for 35…
HOT TAKE INCOMING: If this is potentially a sign that they're switching to anniversaries being every 10 years, I think that's actually fine. Anniversary years are super fun, don't get me wrong, but having one every 5 years I think would make them feel less special and start getting slightly overdone.

I don't think they even know what's coming for 35 but, IMO, besides Anniversary years being done to death now, 35 isn't that big of a deal. 40 has a better shot, but even then, I don't think they would. I wouldn't be surprised if HHN 50 is the next anniversary year (and they'll finally add that 11th house).

What’s the betting line on this?
I could maybe see "25 Years of Jack" or something (assuming the Jack v Eddie rumors this year don't come to pass), but I don't think it benefits an "edgy" event that caters to the 25 and under crowd to highlight the fact it's becoming middle-aged. "HHN 40 -- yeah, your parents used to get scared by chainsaws too!"

Wasn't the rumor for Jack V Oddfellow? Did I miss something? lol
