How come it can't run early in the day before the Macy's Holiday Parade like Superstar did?

This returns January 2025 correct????

Probably because it requires considerably more resources than Superstar did?

I would be very surprised if it did not return in January.

Money and ops

Would have been cool to see this parade run at noon and the holiday parade at night.

I figure it’s part of the rotation— Macy’s/Mardi Gras/Movies— essentially the same staffing for all 3, just different floats and costumes. I think all three are similar in numbers of performers and staff.

I personally don't see it returning in January considering it would only run for about a month before Mardi Gras starts up. April though I think is more realistic.

Does anyone recall when they stopped doing the Veterans Day parade?

There may be something extra added to today's parade for it? At least that's what I am getting from this reply:

To me, seems like “we’re not doing anything extra, but we do have the Mega Movie Parade!”

It would be a nice gesture to have the drum core in JAWS sequence to play something different for today at very least, but you may be right. I am too much an optimist.

When did theme parks start getting so stingy with their parade offerings? I feel like the 90s and 2000s were swimming with exclusive floats and shows. Was there a specific event or timeframe when Disney and Universal just decided "too much trouble?"

Guest surveys show rides are what people care most about, so entertainment is first to get cut when saving money.

I'm happy we got such a great parade in general, but since so much was spent on this new parade, I'm sure there's no way the money people are approving one-day only extras like they used to.

I remember when HHN had a parade. And instead of ending with Santa like a holiday parade, it ended with Satan upon his thrown. Those where the days.

I dunno man, a satan adjacent float at a
Halloween event is much more compatible with my sensibilities than anything featuring the United States armed forces in a positive light lmao.
