That 20 acre expansion plot should be saved for LOTR if that ever comes to pass.

Also EU is the shiny new toy. It can wait a little bit while Universal gives IOA and especially USF new investments.

Can someone explain to me why y'all think that 20 acre expansion pad will be used for only ONE IP/land? It doesn't make sense to me.

If you look at EU from above it appears the only way to that plot is a one way entrance from the hub. But they can probably figure something else out. Hopefully two SWGE sized or level lands can go back there

You can expand both HP (or celestial park) and HTTYD using that space and still have room for another IP land

I think realistically this is the plan since the other allocated 'Berk expansion' feels too small for a substantial attraction. Makes it less daunting to give a single IP 20 acres.

Doesn't Stardust Racers stand in the way between Berk and the expansion plot? The only way to get through to there would be building over the nearby pond, but if I'm not mistaken, that area serves a functional purpose for the park.

As for Ministry, it already has ample expansion space. I think anything beyond one more major attraction and the dining expansion would be overkill, especially with its presence in the other parks.

You could always retheme it to be a part of Berk. You could name it something like “Dragon Challenge”, perhaps!

IoA'd have more room than sharing SNW for sure and I'd take that, but at least my argument for pushing Zelda to EPIC is if despite IoA rumours it became necessary for it to have the larger expansion pad (plausible) *and* Universal feels IoA would work better for their other top picks which are both about books and adventure then that outweighs other parameters.

Spreading Nintendo across all parks, keeping it all in EPIC, I would find to at least to the consumer those have equal yet distinct benefits. IMO the deciding factor should be which non-Nintendo IP maximizes it potential and synergy in a given park, because given enough room, Zelda works in either equally and Pokemon can go anywhere and sell its self with little space (albeit as a city based IP, Studios lacking a banger has a great pull here).

Having said that this is min-maxing, If its between Zelda, Pokemon, Wicked/Oz, and Lotr, once again besides space needed, its like trying to get a grade from an A to A+. The fact they'd all presumably exist in our assumed quality and any park combination makes up the bulk of the grade.

Luigi's Mansion isn't big enough to justify that entire expansion pad at Epic alone, so something else for Nintendo just makes sense.

I beg to differ :D! but if worse to comes to worse, not only is there one other thing for Mario I think Nintendo can put there reasonably without needing to cramp in Zelda, I think its also entirely plausible with Dark Universe's success that it simply gets to steal a section of the expansion for itself. And once again there'd be absolutely no problem with LM and Universal Monster mixing, because that's kind of the point of putting LM over a more popular Nintendo IP. Don't get me wrong, I would have always chosen the GOAT regardless, but for big business brand synergy, I'm sure thats one of the strong reasons LM is on the docket.

Not exactly sure what this means.

I can watch Harry Potter at home or see the play in Broadway... why do they need 3 theme park lands for it?

Because I would only picture it as a stage show. Not a ride. Suppose if it’s a ride with music , like a new twist on the classic Disney fantasyland ride, I would be much more interested .

Universal building a better Disney fantasy style ride than Disney would be a Wicked-esque twist.

Same.

The idea of it going to Epic sounds amazing in my book and Wicked coming to IOA actually makes a whole lot of sense if you think about it.

BOOOO!!

Anyway, half the Zelda Games these days have hookshots and the other half have paragliding, you could totally do a themed flyer ride or section. My ideal Zelda ride would also be a dungeon crawl of course but developed even further on DKs Fake track technology and some sort of Gyro harness so you could do land, water, and air, drops and climbs .

I'd be down for Zelda in LC or Zelda in Epic as both have their own benefits. A Zelda and Luigi's Mansion pair in the Epic expansion pad could greatly mitigate the congestion in Super Nintendo World and, if they make Zelda accessible through both Celestial Park and Luigi's Mansion, improve crowdflow by removing the land's dead end. You wouldn't need to create an entirely different interactive system for Zelda, either. Link has been in Mario Kart, so it'd be a pretty natural merchandising opportunity to add Link and Zelda Power-Up bands that can be used for both the existing Mario games and new Zelda ones. I even like the theorized attractions; an omnimover would add much-needed capacity to the park as a whole, and Epic doesn't have any pure simulator attractions so something grand and beautiful akin to Flight of Passage could really round out the park.

The major benefits to Zelda in Lost Continent are that it would give slightly more roomt o work with and spread Nintendo out across multiple parks like Potter. It's possible Zelda could get the full Epic expansion pad rather than sharing it with Luigi's Mansion, but Lost Continent has two attraction's worth of expansion space on top of a prime location right next to Potter to ensure traffic. Not that Zelda isn't a great fit for a theme park, but it's more of a "secondary" IP in the vein of Monsters or Kong, so the exposure of being in LC's spot would be a nice benefit.

So yeah, I'll take either scenario as long as we eventually get Zelda in the parks. Wicked in Lost Continent and Zelda in the first Epic expansion would be pretty darn radical, though.

Even on the 150+ million selling Switch the game sold only slightly more than Metroid. We gotta face the fact that both of our favorites aren’t that popular lol

Metroid makes me think how if they wanna make every SNW unique, a Metroid ride would be an amazing thing for the US crowd.

Japan can get AC or Splatoon or something.

I like metroid more than both of those but aren't AC and Spalatoon still bigger IPs in the US?

Yes, they are. While the Metroid franchise has been doing well lately, it's still rather niche compared to Nintendo's top properties. It has a big following amongst the gaming community, but very little mainstream popularity.

Hopefully Prime 4 soars high.

Having said that if Zelda doesn’t take half the expansion spot in Epic I was recently thinking how a small Animal Crossing village with some flats could work with a forest that leads to Luigi’s Mansion.

Pretty sure Splatoon is a bigger seller than Metroid these days. I don’t know, Pokémon / Zelda are the obvious ones to me. Luigi’s mansion isn’t something that would make too much sense to me other than the public’s knowledge of Luigi.
