While I do think it would be a crime to not have the full courthouse square in our park, do we think (again if this actually becomes BTTF) that they would just remove the warehouse entrance and build a clocktower facade out front or go for something unique like the Institute?

If they do the clocktower, it's better justification to ship Fan Fest Nights to the East Coast.

I think they have to. It'll be odd to squeeze in an institute looking building between SF and NY.

They can easily recreate the courthouse square there, as long as they extend the facades from Louie's to disguise the first aid building adjacent. That would also allow them to not only add to the area's theme, but also do (hopefully) a better job at hiding the Hogwarts Express.

The rest of the San Francisco area is pretty much Hill Valley with some signage changes.

SF is built for Hill Valley. Already has a train depot perfect for displaying the BTTF train.

Relocate Jaws Photo op across the water to the smoking area by Cinesational viewing.

This rumor is feeling way to good to be true. Idk why it makes me nervous this won’t happen now, but it’s such a layup concept they could execute really, really well.

Right? I'm worried this could be a quick and cheap re-theme and all we get is the exact same attraction with swapped out videos in the musion and 360 tunnel scenes I'd hope they wouldn't make that mistake though, with just how much this Orlando attraction is hated.

I’d love to see BTTF, but I care most about the ride system being replaced. The 360 bus is simply a crappy ride system that perfectly embodies all of the problems with USF right now. It works with Kong because of the extended layout with room for animatronics, but F&F is just a giant oval loop with the load platform, lightly themed corner, 360 tunnel, and another lightly themed corner.

For BTTF I’d love them to use the forbidden journey system with the 8-passenger deloreans on the kuka arms instead of the benches like we have on Monsters and Forbidden Journey. Screen carousels could perfectly mimic the time travel scenes from the original ride

Someone (I don't know if they're an "insider" or not) in one of the WDWMagic threads says that there were two IPs dueling for this spot: BTTF and JAWS. Len Testa's claim that he's heard it's BTTF would appear to be the most recent update that anyone with knowledge has volunteered.

I think Universal should do both, of course.

I wonder if they would ever take out the facades on the right and rebuild them differently vs just reskinning them. Could help with HHN in the future.

I can't find the exact quote over on WDWMagic's boards, but Len Testa (who is somebody who does have connections) has said that he's heard the next USF project on the docket after the HRRR replacement is something BTTF-related replacing Supercharged.

And nobody else is readily shooting it down.

In the JAWS scenario, I think either the building would have been gutted entirely or demolished.

The USGB concept art would indicate an all-indoor JAWS ride is something Universal thinks is possible to achieve (whether it gets built in that park or not), and the Supercharged plot should be big enough for the needs of almost any showbuilding.

I actually prefer the idea of Jaws and they do an indoor ride.

Jaws could work if you have the 360 portion be something like a ferry attack. Otherwise though—it feels obvious that it should be BTTF.

even if it's the exact same ride, the exact same screens and bus,
just the fact that it won't have Vinegar Diesel or the rock in it automatically makes it better lol

I don't think they need to do too much. If this is being done for the sake of giving USF something quick, doubt they go that far.

Spoiler: Additional Ideas

If this project is being done with a limited budget, spend most of it on the ride experience, not the area IMO. SF with signage and painting will transform to Hill Valley over night.
