Yep, and it's a shame too. Delaying it for UO's next announcement? :sneaky:

Universal: Here at Universal Orlando, we want to immerse the guests into the lands they love and always desire to visit. For instance, in Summer 2013, we are going to welcome guests into the world of the Simpsons. Here, guests can visit everyone's favorite pub, Moe's Tavern. While there, guests can enjoy a Flaming Moe. If our guests are hungry, they can visit any one of the dining options available to the residents of Springfield. In 2014, we will also bring to life Diagon Alley from the hugely successful Harry Potter series of books and movies. Guests will be welcomed into Gringotts for a wild ride through the vaults of the wizarding world. Muggles will also be welcomed into Leaky Cauldron for lunch and dinner. Stop by a second Olivander's Wand Shop and a wand just may choose you.

Disney: Here at Disney we pride ourselves in creating magic. Today, we want to announce we are creating a most magical experience for you, our guests. First, we are adding a new attraction to Animal Kingdom called Duck and Cover. This will be an interactive queue experience at A Bug's Life. Guests will be able to duck and cover and avoid falling branches from Tree of Life. At Epcot, well, we have nothing but benches being added to World Showcase lagoon. At DHS, yea, still nothing. And at Magic Kingdom, BATHROOMS!!!! Did we mention these bathrooms are most magical because they are designed to Tangled. Just don't drink the water from the sink, or toilets. The water will be reclaimed. But yes, it is safe to wash your hands in then touch food. Oh, and to make this even more magical, we are raising prices!!!!!

Love it  Come on Disney build something at Epcot please!!

MS is the last thing that park needs to worry about. Just walk around Future World.

I really don't understand the hate towards MS? I like it, but the only reason I dont ride it is cause the wife didn't like it, mainly cause she did the tame side and was scared to do the intense side.

Ok so this is completely off topic, but reading this made me realize something. And I know this was discussed in the past, but what if Disney got Harry Potter. Then both parks would be crumbling. We most likely wouldn't be getting Springfield, or Transformers, and obviously not Diagon Alley. Scares me just thinking about it.

Disney replaced sections of the SDMT construction wall with plexiglass so guests can look at construction and take pictures. Good move IMO, and it's something Uni should replicate.

I just didn't like the attraction. To me, has nothing to do with replacing Horizons. In my opinion, they could have done something better with a space pavilion. But, it is what it is. it has its place, I guess. People like it, so be it. I skip it. I won't ever say get rid of it because we know they would only shut it and leave the building there to rot without a replacement.

I hate to think what Disney would have done with Potter. I can imagine a Toy Story Mania style ride. 3D glasses, toy wands, and bad CGI shooting style game instead of bringing you into the Wizarding World.

And it hurts that Mission Space was such a hyped deal. It was going to be not only the most intense Disney ride ever built but promising to be the most immersive at putting you in the action. I was picturing the simulators to be really intense and going through an actual enviorment or on some sort of axis that allowed for some barrel rolls and crazy manuvers. What we got was a Gravitron Carnival concept to simulate very low Astronaut Training G Forces. The immersion interaction with the storytelling promised is non existent because your actions with the buttons or pivoting the joystick do absolutely nothing.

And yeah, sadly Future World is so ignored that there is an overwhelming amount of work to be done that should not put Mission Space on a priority even with its lackluster attributes. Imagination and Energy are in a pathetic state.

Sorry to go back a ways but just as I believe that Universal could really be helped by painting the show building for Forbidden Journey a dark green and add tall pine trees in front of it on the Jurassic Park side, I believe that the Tangled tower could be well hidden with a simple rockwork wall, with cliffs and a waterfall on the Fantasyland side and then themed to say the catskill mountains on the other side to blend with the Haunted Mansion.

Don't forget, MAGICAL BATHROOMS! Which you have to book toilet time 180 out. And if you don't have Fast Pass +, well, you will have one heck of a long wait in the stand by line.

Was it actually cancelled or just the name changed? I'm pretty sure they never were planning on announcing anything major.
