As much as I am hesitant about the attraction still, the theme is actually probably one of the best they could've asked for given the location to create a more cohesive transition. Twister was always sort of the end of Production Central and the beginning of NY. Fallon will incorporate elements of both production AND the NY theme with this attraction. So that's at least a win.

Goodbye ugly building and ugly facade. Whatever replaces it, if indeed Studio & NBC Store, is bound to look much better and fit in with the NYC ambiance. Twister had a few good points, but the time had come to say adieu.

It would be cool if while "gently soarin" through New York you got hit by a twister.

I think they should have some people on the street playing a game of Twister during the ride

I'm sure it'll have a few Twister references, Magpuri from Falcon's Treehouse (Same guy who designed a lot of Twister) is also heavily involved with the new ride, apparently.

I guess I'm the only one still saddened by this. Went to pay my respects yesterday. It's a great little attraction that a park like Universal Studios was made for. It will be sorely missed.

I'll miss it, it was the first USO Attraction I went on.

I'm glad on my last trip I made the effort to visit this and Disaster!

My feelings with twister have been mixed but I think my last experience with it wraps it up pretty well. My little brother and I walked off the mummy and I turned to see twister. I realized this would be my last chance to do it so I told him "listen you will never see this again, wanna do it one last time?". He responded "nah" and we just went on having fun doing other things. Twister wasn't a bad attraction by any means, it's just one you don't really care about. It's not really memorable, has no focus and just sorta leaves you disappointed. As much as I whine about it, I'm sure jimmy Fallon will be somewhat better

Exact same thing happened to me on our vacation in October. We went into the Studios and I asked my GF if she wanted to ride Twister since they were closing it down soon. She said " nah, we just rode that last year".

I was there while some of the other theme park community was waiting for the last show. Someone asked me, "Are you coming in?"

My response was, "I'd be happier drinking in Finn's."

Goodbye, stink attraction. You were always terrible. I will not miss you.

It may help that Twister is one of my favorite movies so I do have more of an affinity for it than most. Also, I am nostalgic for a time when Universal put you in your favorite movies, not just showed a new movie based on a movie and your seat moves in front it.

Twister's departure was long overdue. I didn't even bother paying the attraction one last visit back in October.

The one thing that will be missed is the use of particle effects. Jimmy Fallon will be fun, but it's yet another 3D simulator for Universal.

Is there going to be a two drink minimum, maybe some blood and stitches. I am of course joking, but UO has to be concerned about all these news stories.
