Once again, it is the water slide that sprays water out of it through the middle of the huge saucers. It is NOT the rafts. Watch the video

Well here's another thing. The ride that will spray water from the center of the raft is the dark green slide. Next to the blue wave slide. On the opposite end of the park from where everyone is talking about. It's not the saucer slide!

Question: Disney's water park's both close for 3 months out of the year. Part of that is maintenance, but most is simply cost savings in the colder months. What i'm getting to though is, do we know for sure that VB will be a year-round park? Was Wet 'n Wild open all year?

Disney's water parks usually close for refurb just to save money and are much older than Aquatica.

Ok.

Slightly surprised at Aquatica knowing that Adventure Island is closed 6 months out of the year in Tampa. Of course I guess with the Orlando market they can stay open without reporting a loss.

Generally at least one of the two Disney water parks are open, unless it's a really bad weather day.

Last December WNW closed for Wednesday and Thursday for one or two weeks. Aquatica was closed on Monday and Tuesday during that same time frame.

WNW did rolling refurbishments throughout the winter months, so it would not surprise me if Volcano Bay did the same - hopefully that won't even be necessary until December 2018/January 2019.

I remember seeing pictures with the holes in the saucers earlier on during construction, but the latest images seem to show they are not there. Cuts?

Definitely had holes..

But notice the lowest tier "doesn't."

And using the giant version of the pic from earlier in the thread, it's like a slit.

Weird, no?

Also, they cut out part of the side wall. I think they discovered the up-jet didn't work and those cutouts will allow for a side jet - you see them on the blue wave/wall slide as well. That'd be like a big jet spray onto you as you come out of the tunnel and maybe even splashing on the circular bit. Then I assume the holes became drains and are just obscured because they're much smaller now.

Yeah strange, I had never mentioned it before obviously because we had been looking at slides with holes so it had never crossed my mind but then my post the other day I was looking and thinking that's odd there are no holes, couldn't remember if there had been and then pointed it out.

As suspected in my last post, WidlGravity Travels has their latest update available, web link in tweet has more photos and video directly below too:

Fantastic new aerial drone footage too from another YouTube user:

My favorite of the pics! Plants plants plants. There is a tall palm to the far left that looks like a coconut palm. Perhaps a mutant queen palm? Uni Hort... call me... what is that thing?

See, I'm on the opposite side. Those pics make me less worried. Three months is a lot of time.
