Also in this picture you can see the color of the lighting poles staged in the wave pool, with one already placed in the upper right corner.

Going back to this...shame you can't zoom in on the concrete as well. According to the original patent, they were adding motion sensors and light pixels into the ground which could be use to change the sand. Until we see the sand itself and how translucent as well as the concrete bed underneath we won't fully know the extent.

Is it normal for the water in the lazy river to look that dark? Looks very like a normal muddy river! Or is it pre-filtration?

That's definitely not normal, and comparing with some of the slide pools shows just how muddy that water is. I'm really confused by this adding water, because I don't think we've them putting on any sort of plaster/sealant in that river so it's still just bare concrete.

Protective frame around water coaster through the volcano has been removed which suggests no more significant work to go on in and around the volcano (no more rock work).

I Assume it has been removed for testing, the missing area that we have all discussed recently still has cranes etc in the way so won't be going up yet, it will all be the last things to be installed once access to the upper stairs etc that are currently being worked on don't need crane support. I can imagine it will all get wrapped back up again once they start installing more steel.

As the quote below suggests, I assume an entrance to an attraction, probably the 2 of the drop slides as we are now seeing a second stair way on the outside of the volcano on the opposite side which to me suggests that the entrance for the 2 drop slides that twist will be larger for more volume and the stairs are larger where as the stairs on the other side that are now progressing are narrower suggesting less foot traffic, ie the one drop slide that is the plummet. Also the stairs lead down to approximately the centre where that bridge enters under the waterfall onto that side of the rapids river. The stairs on the other side that start externally up the side of the volcano enter much higher which shows on the internal shots of the volcano and does not lead further down so two separate queuing systems to the top of the drop slide platforms. This is all my guess work form observation so if any on has any other ideas feel free to share!

All of the landing pools for the slides have also looked this colour before they have been 'turned on and filtered'. I don't know the tech behind it but that's from observation of all aerials over the last year of construction!

Go back a couple weeks and look at some aerials and the lazy river has been lined (white) not sure with what material or if its paint but it has have been finished recently.

Very good point! maybe you are onto something!

OK so I know there are still plenty of sceptics out there and worriers thinking the volcano wont have its missing rock work installed so the recent aerial footage hopefully gives us some more clues to evidence of why I'm still sure it will be installed and why it will be the final pieces. See quote below for reference to my previous post and opinions to why I think it will all be fine by opening date.

Recent observation shows better footage of the aerials. The below screen grab shows there are numerous concrete footings still unused circled in the centre. They are not for another slide obviously and if you draw a line from the circled footings on the left in the same direction the missing rock work structure shows in promo videos they lead and line up from other angles to those centre footings which makes sense because for the structure to project into the air at that angle some support would be required centrally as I doubt the structure would holds itself at that angle from the left hand connections alone. Also bottom right I have circled where some more angled supports are that still require use, these too point and line up towards the central supports but we have no evidence from promo videos that rock work should be in this area but its the only logical use for them at this stage so I connected them in the image but not so confident they will connect.

Untitled3.png

The rectangle highlighted in the above and below image shows the area that last week looked complete leading some to believe they wont add rock work, a week later they have added all of that new rock work too it, this still leads me to believe they will follow through on the concept art and bridge over the coaster with the remaining missing rock work, why would they leave out such a large noticeable part of the volcano from this side! Don't say money or time because all of the steel will be pre-fabricated so more than likely sitting about waiting to be installed, we have seen how quick the steel and rock work is completed from start to finish and when this area becomes the main focus it could be completed in no time. Just look how fast the cave entrance was done in about a week! we still have over a month until opening!

Untitled4.png

As for timing the cranes are still working in this area and recent videos show they are still needing to get materials to the top and workers via crane until the stairs are completed and in working order, all of the remaining steel and rock work would be directly in the way for this so I assume it will all be installed at the very last minute when no crane is required further access deeper into the volcano. Again I could be wrong on all of this and if I am, so what, it won't kill me but I am just trying to look at the logical evidence to what we can see and assume.

TL;DR - The back is incomplete, wont be closed but will have more rock work and yes in time for opening date.

OK so all of this talk about the back of the volcano, here are my thoughts. Personally I'm 99.9% sure its not finished and have already explained why a few posts back with an image but just looking at the latest drone video and thought I may have to point a couple of things out so hopefully a few of you can calm down, be a little patient and wait for some of the back pieces of the volcano to arrive.

Firstly lets look at what is missing, two screen shots below from he promo vids show a large area projecting towards the sky on the right of the water coaster exiting the mountain.

missing2.png

missing.png

Moving onto the screen shot below from the latest Drone footage:

What is there currently? NOTHING! But why is there nothing? Because you see that crane that is currently needed to complete the platform etc at the top and centre of the volcano, well check the screen shot below from the video, it is currently parked right where that missing rock work needs to be as highlighted in the red square to the left of the image! Its really not difficult to understand why that back portion is not finished, they need access to the centre of the volcano, not just for construction but also if they have any problems with the tech or slide pieces in the centre its no good closing that volcano up early!

Next question I have seen a few times: Are they just going to leave it? NO! Why? See those footers I have highlighted and spoken about on numerous occasions, they are incredibly large, they are there to support steel, the only steel that large left to install would be to support the rock work as highlighted in the promo vids above. Also take note of how large and empty the gap is in the left where the crane is, that is a large part of opening to leave uncovered and the edge of the volcano simply looks Odd, aesthetically its terrible so of course they wont leave it.

Third question you see a lot: But what about time? Its only a couple months from opening! So the steel structure will have been designed with the latest computer aided design packages which I'm sure will have undoubtedly included clash detection software etc etc, each piece of steel, slide, rock etc etc all calculated to exact sizes and fit. These are then made offsite, it becomes a huge Jigsaw puzzle. The rest of that rock missing will already be fabricated, its a matter of piecing a few bits of steel together, bolted down to already cast footers and slapping on a jigsaw skin and spraying it with concrete and painting it. Look at the speed some areas were done lately like the opening to the lazy river tunnel, done within days/ maybe a week. We have a couple months yet!!!!! IF more man power is needed UNI will get it. Money won't matter on the cost of a few more contractors for a few days or weeks.

current.png

In conclusion the large rock area missing will stop it looking as open and also make what is currently a clean edge to the volcano look much more natural, the right hand side has the same footers as I highlighted in the screen grab but none of the promo videos show anything projecting higher than the matt racers slides so from the video I'm assuming the angle of the footers suggests the rock work may project at an angle toward the volcano and up through the centre of that closest first green loop of the water coaster above the highlighted area on the right.

If anyone still has doubt fare enough, I don't no what more you need other than evidence of pieces being installed but so far there is nothing to suggest the missing rock won't be installed. If it isn't I would be incredibly surprised, but I'm not worried and confident it will turn up before long.

Also I love how they have themed the supports for the water coaster!!!

I wonder if they will revive the Universal Water Parade for this park....I mean if any park does that parade work, this would be the best for that.

It's normal in the sense that you can't fill a pool with pre-treated water. Once they are able to fill the river, they will "shock" the water with an excessive amount of chlorine which will turn the water clear. Same thing that happens when there's a code brown in the water (although this initial shock requires much more chlorine).

Your arguments are clear and pretty strong (and I hope you're right), but @Teebin did say the original mockup had the backside blown out. I still think you're right in that there's still rock work to be installed around the lower parts.

Yeah I'm not suggesting its not blow out as its clear it is in all of the promo videos and images however blown out doesn't mean there is no rock work lower down around the base. In my posts I am more referencing the clear missing rock work that is 100% shown in the videos. The guessing is more towards the other supports that are no being used currently where we have no visuals of what will be in those areas. I'm looking forward to seeing how this will progress, as I have previously said I will be super surprised if those footings are left unused especially with how large they are when its clear something significant structurally should be bolted too them.

True, also as you pointed out the supports being themed helps to hide them.
