I mean, he's been saying that since day 1.

If there is a backwards portion that includes a launch, there's no way they'll have people in motorbike seating positions. That's asking for a lawsuit.

Not that I think it is, but instead of reverse section it could use turntables to always launch us forward.

I was going to say the same thing as @AliciaStella . And looking at the supports in the first building, it actually looks like it will be a turntable- the supports are extremely similar to other turntable support structures.

2 Turntables or backwards is fine- tons of storyline they can do with both. In particular if building 2 is "under water". Going under water backwards simply wouldn't work as effectively. But turning- launching into the water- turning- launching out of the water, is a much better effect.

In other news- I love the brown coaster supports (and likely track). That'll blend in beautifully- like Hippogriff.

I think that would look kind of cheesy, myself. A train engine makes sense, but a magical motorcycle that pulls a trains-worth of passengers breaks my suspension of belief.

This is another reason why I don't think the motorbike will be the ride vehicle. There's now a dozen of them strung together? I feel like it'll be something that makes sense as a roller coaster train, and the flying bike just doesn't make sense.

I just want to know how they are going to theme carts to make sense in the context of the story their telling. The flying benches and Gringotts have a solid story behind why you're riding in them. The hippogriff is questionable. So how is this ride going to pull off that same story element with the ride vehicle?

Carriages?

Thestrial Carts?

Trains?

Enchanted boxcars?

Doesn't really matter. Before it was open I'm sure we all would've though "flying benches" was a bit odd. I still do. But it works.

I could see them saying it’s a modified Muggle vehicle or something. It was brushed over in the movies, but the books really accentuated how the vehicles were often magically enlargened.

Yeah, what I'm saying is I hope there's a story behind whatever you ride in. The thing we don't know right now is it the Triwizard tournament or the forbidden forest? Both would affect the vehicle we're getting in.

Except... maybe not.

The Tri-Wizard Cup and the Forbidden Forest are not mutually exclusive. Both can exist in the same story. And there is no vehicle in the world of Harry Potter that would necessarily be mutually exclusive to either possible story. The Anglia exists prior to the tournament, so it's available. Thestral carriages exists at Hogwarts so they're available. They're all wizards, so brooms are available. Hagrid works there so his motorcycle is available. Magic exists so we could be riding in a magic sentient log.

Sure, the details matter, but to get wrapped up in the minutia of a story that can literally encompass ANYTHING (the first show-building has a dinosaur because of a Time Turner, the second puts us in China because of a port-key, now we're dancing with Minions because wizards can CREATE LIFE FROM NOTHING) is to... ahem... miss the forest for the trees.
