From previous permits, Intamin will be presumably responsible.

Could we see centaurs in the ride? I know we see them on the Hogwarts express and the footage for that hits at the rides in the area.

From what I’ve read here it is likely.

The foundations in the center of this picture don't seem to be a very good match to the layout that was previously discussed:

The layout that was previously discussed was an interpretation of what someone saw and was kind enough to share. It was stated it wasn't an exact copy of what will come to fruition but it comes damn close and I am thankful it was shared.

This is officially my most excited addition to Orlando in 2019. Star Wars can wait! I’m booking a flight just to ride this lol

I agree big time. This has "great attraction" potential written all over it....... Star Wars will also probably be great, but with WDW's long lines and impossible fast pass situation on new attractions, it will be a couple of years after it opens before I even attempt DHS.

So this forward backwards feature should be executed simultaneously and on to the rest of the ride?? Or do we visit it venture out a while and come back to it?? If u know..

The battle ride is a simulator ala Spider-Man (mix of Physical and screens) and is supposedly a ride that will break into the upper echelon of Orlando's theme park attractions. Falcon is more of a next-gen Star Tours-meets-Mission:Space simulator.

I agree that this Potter Coaster is very intriguing. Some of these supports have really piqued my interest.

One is is kind of a hybrid of sorts, but still screen reliant. So, I guess you could say they're both somewhat screen oriented.

I'm always quick to fear the worst when we hear an attraction is "reliant" upon screens, but in Alcatraz's case, I've heard enough to be optimistic that - while, yes, it's going to be Spidey-ish in terms of integrating screens into sets - it's not going to be quite so simulatory as some might fear. It seems plausible that screens will be used for windows and hangar bay backdrops so we can see outside the ship, but I don't think we should assume that large chunks of the ride are just going to involve our ride vehicle plopped in front of a screen that is simulating the action.

It also sounds like there's going to be a huge amount of physical/practical elements to look at, too.

But anyway! No screens on the Potter coaster!

I feel like DHS is the next park to potentially get screen fatigue because remember, Runaway Railway opens next year as well. Those plus Star Tours, TSMM all make up most over 50% of the parks rides by the end of next year.

As for Potter, I really hope that this makes Hogsmeade feel a little more “complete”. Not that there’s anything wrong with it now, but compared to Diagon Alley it feels weaker as a land (this is not a comparison of FJ v. Gringotts, just land as a whole).

I'm sorry if that came across as an attempt to look down upon the info that was shared by those with knowledge. I was operating under the assumption that we knew that some of the graphical interpretations created here based on that info were close to accurate, but not quite perfect. My intent was to suggest that the area in that picture might be one where the drawings were a little off.

Believe me, I am well aware! That park is going to need a couple of more traditional dark rides fast, not just for additional capacity (which will still be a major concern), but also because the diversity of the attractions lineup will be somewhat lacking.

As for making Hogsmeade feel more complete, I hope the coaster helps that, too. I do think it would have been nice if they could have found a bit of extra space to turn into an additional guest area; maybe a scenic overlook of a forced-perspective Shrieking Shack, or something. Anything that would have opened up additional places for the guest congestion to move would have improved the land a bit.

But even so, I think once the coaster is open, Hogsmeade will be just fine... because what it slightly lacks in comparison to Diagon Alley's incredible theme and design work it will make up for with its two headliner E-tickets.
