I see the thread has been updated. Do we have written confirmation anywhere from Universal?

The PF show-building along with the Sinbad theater leaves a MASSIVE footprint, but I really wasn’t expecting another expansion of IOA after we just got hagrids and Velocicoaster! IMO the money would be better spent at USF
USF is getting a new kids land and entertainment next year.

It was emailed out by Karen Irwin.

I'm curious if that's what they'd actually do. I mean, it wouldn't have anything to do with the movie considering Zelda was not involved lol.

Imagine an alternate dimension where the Uni/Nintendo partnership was fast tracked and SMB came out in 2019. SNW would probably be opening in Kidzone this year.

Maybe the Zelda movie was greenlit based on Mario’s opening? But a month turn around on that for the parks would be wild.

Also, I’m stuck on the word, “entertainment.” I’m curious what the Permit Princess will dig up.

The email specifically says “…will close as we prepare for exciting new entertainment

I take this in 2 ways;
-They’re putting a new walk through show inside of the Poseidon’s building
-OR… the building will sit vacant for years and they’ll open up a few street shows and pretend to their staff that that is the equivalent “new” entertainment offering

Also, does Universal put any thought into the time period of when they close attractions? They’re cutting a decent people eater going into the summer season, and with the closure of nighttime lights they’ll have no nighttime show between the 2 parks.

It'd also be a strange move to close Poseidon and turn it into Zelda while keeping the rest of the land open.

Wow, whenever they finally close this land that's gonna create such an awful traffic jam in IOA.

I don't like the wording. Very vague.

Maybe they realized removing Gringotts 3D wasn't viable so this is their cost savings lol

...or this is another cheap alternative for a short-term solution

Can someone post the actual email? @Alicia ‘s quote here uses the word “experiences.”

I could definitely see this, the Mario movie sequel is already in development so it's entirely possible that Zelda is under some kind of development as well

This area never got the numbers they wanted so while I liked this attraction it makes sense to go ahead and close it.

Curious to see if they have a replacement already planned or is whole land getting completely revamped ???
