AK's FOP - Looks like FOP has been closed for most of the day. I do understand they are using 1 theater at the time due to over heating but Does anyone know if all 4 theaters are "show ready" and "operational"? or Are they still switching back and forward within 2 theaters like the screening days?

All 4 theatres are operational. The problem has been fixed. Was fixed by opening day. Not sure about today's issue

I've been there while 3 (or maybe even all 4) theaters were running. The line went so fast that day! But that was only once out of the three times I've been in line for the ride.

Today though, I believe there was a fire alarm situation that has caused both rides to close temporarily. Since both rides share a single building they both had to close during the alarm.

Have we ever gotten any real confirmation that "overheating" is the issue? It could be something as innocent as a timing issue. One time I rode I had to wait for the ride system to cycle through entirely before we could begin. You could hear all of the music queues and everything without the screen running. There could be a lot of little things wrong, rather than one big flaw I'm thinking.

...Although, maybe the fire alarm was because of some severe overheating. Anyone have any news on the current situation over there? According to MDE both are still closed now.

I just heard it from 2 employees, during screening they had 2 theater and switching between them every hour, and yesterday I heard 4 theater are operational but still using 1 theater at a time.... IDK but thank you :)

Might explain why I had to wait one ride cycle that one time. I might've heard the theater next to mine playing while seated and waiting my theater's turn.

If they can't figure this out within the next couple weeks, we're going to have to call Pandora a huge failure on Disney's part. I can't believe they would open up this land when everything isn't running. People should demand their money back, give them bad reviews on trip advisor, then run a story on the local news. What a failure.

Well it sounds serious, I expect problems with all new rides, but mostly RV syncing problems, alarm going off for unknown reasons and E-Stopping the whole ride, sensors problems and so on, but over heating hmm, I also wonder if it is the projectors or the RV itself, IDK... I just hope it doesn't get the Yeti treatment. AK needed this land.

Now both rides are closed (FOP/NRJ). I'm having RoL flashbacks, and I feel so bad for the cast members dealing with it. This is sad, it's clear that building was not show ready. After 3 weeks we should start seeing progress in ops, but it seems to be getting worse. :(

Ride system overheated again. Both rides were evaced after a fire alarm, and they still are closed after 2 and a half hours. Someone even passed out while in the makeshift line and was taken by emergency crews.

:faint:Again? Well I'll keep my opinions to myself about it, but What would be the smart solution? close the land, take the hit, and re-open again? I mean What about the people that were expecting to ride yesterday, today, plus the ones coming tomorrow? Are they warning them, so they can make changes in their plans if they choose to?, or Are they keeping it quiet and let them go through the gates? Like I said, I feel so bad for DAK CMs right now.

I'm not going to panic about this yet...there could be several small reasons for this to happen, but Disney definitely has to err on the side of caution for now.

Not a great time to be at Pandora or VB right now.... actually, you couldn't get into VB right now if you wanted to anyway.....

This is just my thoughts based on what I've heard... I think the reason for these issues is the FoP RVs. I've heard that those are overheating due to the effect of feeling the Banshee "breathing" beneath you and also the vibration on the RVs.

Again, just my thoughts though. It could be something totally different.

The issue they were having during previews would not cause a fire alarm to go off.... besides that issue was fixed right before opening day. This is normal Growing Pains issues that pop up when you start running a ride for 14 hours a day fully loaded with people. Don't make mountains out of molehills it'll be resolved soon

If this is the case, is this something that could be easily fixable by turning off certain features so it doesn't overheat? I know it's a lot more complicated than that but that's besides the point.

And again... this is getting ridiculous. I can't wait to see the guest services line at the end of today. If this ride doesn't open people are going to be pissed.
