Nintendo Coming to Universal Parks

Even phase 1 in KidZone has an area set aside for future expansion. Not only are they going into this with everything they've got, it appears Universal is already preparing for the possibility of growing the Mushroom Kingdom. They're already looking at this as Potter level, and it ain't even built yet.

But, as they did with Diagon, I'm sure this will be a wait and see situation. But if it takes off like they expect, we can expect to see movement on more Nintendo quite quickly after the first area opens I suspect.

I don't disagree with any of that. I kinda think ET may some day end up being the Zelda plot. Or if they do build another Nintendo land at the South property, have Zelda be a part of it.

People said the same for Avatar and yet...

Zelda isn't the biggest box office movie of all time though.

Nah, it's just one of the longest running game series out there.

Pokemon, as a Nintendo IP should be locked in for the fourth gate.

As I mentioned, it created a genre in gaming all to it's own, and that it has all of the requirements to back it up.

In the terms of ET, I find it fascinating that Luigi's Mansion seems to be out of the current plans for Nintendo, and that if I was to guess; that would be a good replacement for ET. An interactive family dark ride for all ages, using shooter technology similar to Men in Black.

Not to mention that Breath of the Wild was the one thing that was a must-own of any switch at launch, as it currently earns over 3.8 million copies, and should eventually get to the levels of Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time.

Umm, zelda is literally selling the nintendo switch on its own (at least until the new mario comes out, or until Splatoon gets even more popular)

I don't think you understand what he means by that.

Yes but people still made the same argument against Avatar that you are for Zelda. No one is saying it would be on the same scale as Star Wars or Mario but it will get a land and not just a single attraction plopped randomly like Transformers.

Yeah, I forgot about Pokemon. As long as they have the rights, we should see some sort of Pokemon area with rides and shops.

Like I keep saying; I think Zelda definitely warrants a miniland. Something highly themed and immersive but not particular huge. It has appeal for gamers and has the perfect imagery and lore for a land, but I don't think it's a big enough pop culture zeitgeist to warrant something as large as WWoHP, SNW, or SW:GE.

How big is the Beauty and the Beast area in Magic Kingdom? That could be a good size.

The BaTB portion of NFL is about 2.2 acres.

If Zelda is apart of it, I would imagine it could be about three to four acres total.
In my mind I see taking away Be Our Guest for a Zelda E Ticket and then have the town around it and that would be a pretty decent size. With a little more they could have the Lost Woods too.

Keep in mind, Be Our Guest and Enchanted Tales takes up .9 acres.

Now keep in mind, they could make the attraction multifloored, similar to what was gonna go down with SLoP in Hollywood, but I don't see that for Zelda.

Ehhh, I would much rather prefer Luigi's Mansion to be similiar to that of the Haunted Mansion. We already have a shooting gallery for MiB and I prefer to be just one so not to set a repeating trend like what Universal is doing with the 3D screen simulator rides lately. Luigi Mansions may or may not be in the plans though as of now, because Universal has other projects going on. It's safe to say that Luigi's Mansion may be at the 3rd gate if that ever arises.

That'd be pretty perfect. Replace Be Our Guest with a Zelda e-ticket, Gaston's bar with a milk/potion bar, and throw in a bazaar in between featuring tons of themed merch.

If I'm not mistaken, some of the sources mentioned that Mario shouldn't be coming to the third gate.

There is enough space for Mario, taking into consider two expansion plots for the mushroom kingdom, the pad next to SNW Phase 1, Simpsons, and Men in Black and then another at the ET Adventure showbuilding.

And who say's it has to be 3D? Outside of Mariokart having AR incorporated to enhance the environment, there has been a large mention by multiple sources that they are wanting to not do as many screens as before; to make it fully practical.

Yes, but I'm talking about the Luigi's Mansion building itself interior and exterior. If that ever arises to occur, it would mostly likely to be at the 3rd gate, due to how big the size is, but yeah, as you said, it might not be happening. And I didn't say that SMW would be compromised with screens and simulators, but referring to the current trend Universal is doing with a few notable exceptions (SNW attractions and the new Harry Potter Forbidden Forest ride). MiB is just good as it is as the only shooting gallery so I don't see the need for another especially within the same park. Hopefully, Universal Orlando would announce that SNW is going to be build at the former Kidszone area because it seems there's more argument for than against, and I'm hoping for the same for Universal Studios Hollywood as well.

Here is the thing, it can be very much different than Men in Black, and still have a high level of Interactivity.
