Seriously. It's an indoor/outdoor themed coaster. It will kind of like Gringotts, but hopefully better. Gringotts is like the mummy which is like another indoor coaster which is like another indoor coaster. Only so many ride types out there.

There can be different ride types with an indoor coaster, and not just one.

Just because one type exists, it doesn't mean that it has to be the only one type.

We're complaining about menu diversity in a community that pines for "Old Epcot" that was all slow boat rides and omnimovers?

Me? Gimme all the indoor, themed coasters you can. The more the merrier.
Very few people pine for the old Epcot on these forums. Certainly not to the extent that they do on Magic. Was it nice, yeah, but it DID lack diversity, which was it's downfall.

I'm just saying, think of this as a restaurant that only has 5 options (5 rides). I'm going to expect all of those options to be different if there's a limited amount to choose from. I just feel like they should be making the most of this opportunity and making each Potter ride completely unique.

EDIT: As I write this, I'm also thinking about how, for almost a month, there will be more Potter rides than rides at DHS total which is sort of insane.

A themed outdoor/indoor coaster with a different ride vehicle than Gringotts and hopefully AAs is a different ride than Gringotts. Does this ride have to be an inverted Mack to be different? No

I seriously don't think this ride will feel anything like Gringotts. The only thing that may feel similar is the seesaw track, and this is MUCH more of a seesaw than what Gringotts has.

What in hell could this be themed to... zipping and whizzing around what and where? The motorcycle thingy really has no place in Hogsmeade does it?

I don't think it's going to be a motorcycle. But Hagrid does have a flying motorcycle.

At this point I'm expecting the ride vehicle to be the Flying Car

Hopefully you're right. Like I said before, I'm going to give it the chance it deserves. I never go into a ride with a negative mindset. Hopefully it'll blow me away.

What I'm more excited about tbh is that the overall land theming will be much improved with this.

Yea, I'm really hoping they open Hogsmeade up a little.

I also think that once this opens FJ will finally go down for its long needed extensive refurb/upgrade to bring it to the level of the USJ/USH versions

Honestly, USF has way too many indoor rides and IoA has way too many outdoor rides. It's a good thing that the parks are next door and most people are pushed to buy park-to-park passes.

That's the great thing about the parks being next door.

The new park has a balancing act to play though.

I'm a little bummed that this will be more of the same as Gringotts however I really enjoyed Gringotts and this makes the most sense for what they want to do.

I'm just hoping that it has a decent outdoor coaster section. It doesn't need to be tall but low and fast similar to Cheetah Hunt through a Forrest makes this a big win for me.

I am re-reading the books now and I cannot for the life of me think of anything this could be themed to other than an actual Quidditch match. For it to be the FF would be kind of silly if it is in fact a fast paced coaster. Flying past a robotic Centaur, Spider or Unicorn at 35 mph would be somewhat senseless, right?

That's why I think it could be a floo powder driven adventure that starts in the Forbidden Forest in a calm creature tour but when danger strikes it becomes a fast-paced adventure through several famous locations from the series. Ministry of Magic, Azkaban, or anywhere the story wants to take us that we haven't seen on the other attractions as of yet.

Theme: An IU Insider, pilfered Potter future attractions plans in hand, escapes through the woods on his coaster track unicycle, while being pursued by Universal Creative, Rowling, and the Warner Brothers Cartoon characters, Coyote & the Tasmanian Devil, disguised as Forbidden Forest creatures. ;)

Does it need to be a story we already know? If we assume that the main trio original cast probably won't be returning then there is a near infinite amount of possibilities that could happen.

Jaws, Kongfrontation, MIB, Transformers and the list goes on of great rides that all take place in the same world as their IP but not the same story that we know from the movies.

New adventure with my good friend Hagrid. He's a cool guy.
