I've said it on FB, but I just don't get why people are so hung up on a lack of Get Out or Split. I dug both movies, but fail to see what would be worthwhile in a house.

At least for me, the fun of a mashup is getting to see properties/ideas that would never be able to support a full house on their own. I loved Get Out and it has enough material for a room or two, so it would have been the only way to see anything from the movie at the event.

The current Blumhouse lineup is just so dull if true. Two films that have already have mazes (along with a scarezone this year), and if you told me Sinister was an Insidious spin-off, I'd believe you; it's just not that aesthetically unique.

Yes!!!!

The original reason to be excited about the Blumhouse maze was the idea of getting a mashup of a few movies that might not be able to support a full house. So I was super excited to have a unique and different group of films in a house. Now we are having 2 that have already been given full houses... So what is the point of the mashup? I'd rather it just be a full Sinister house at this point.

I think I must have went through Insidious at change over every time as I seemed to have a completely different experience to everyone else. No scares and little atmosphere. It was my least favourite house at HHN25 - hopefully blumhouse redeems it. Would have loved to have seen the HHN interpretation of Split too.

Did you go late in the season? IIRC once one of the scare-actresses quit after a physical assault, the house took a notably more subdued turn. Not a fan of the movies, but early in the season it was a terrifying house with a strong cast.

Also for that house one of the casts was way better than the other one. I could always tell from the bride in black that comes running at you after the hallway from 3. One scareactor looked like they were gliding out and it was terrifying, the other looked like a grumpy person stomping out at you and really killed the scene.

I went through Insidious alone at closing time one night. Most terrifying experience of my life...(it was early in the season). All 3 Lipstick demons jumped out at the same time and legit took off. It was truly the most terrifying experience I've ever had at HHN.
Insidious was my favorite house, a few times I was the first one in the house, experience was awesome. Once I had an employee take me by the shoulders an turn me in the right direction lol, another time, I almost went up the staircase lol.

Just realized something. The Blumhouse facade looks like it's on an angle that makes a corner in the middle. I believe the Blumhouse logo will be projected on there like in their opening credits

Parade is Ash vs Evil Dead so not sure what the facade is; Sprung 1 is the Scarecrow one which explains the barn/church looking building with the corn in front; not sure what Hive's Facade is supposed to be but it looks interesting considering it's in early stages of building

99% sure the Ash facade is going to be the warehouse scene with the backstory projected onto the boxes. That's what I would do if I were designing it.

When Hollywood is getting Insidious, Get Out, Purge, Sinister, AND Happy Death Day in their Blumhouse maze.
