DE2, they should've gone with photography again.

Blood Pit, I thought was a genius concept. Wish they had used the old masks (wonder if OSHA didn't allow them?) but the real problem is that pretty much every era most people really want to see them in is completely untouchable.

The concept was interesting, it seemed like they wanted to go a bit of 28 Days Later film in the beginning scene but the orignal was sorta. As for Blood Pit, it was really good but yeah the new version of the masks were interesting.

If they documented their past houses well, it could be possible for originals from the 90s to be brought back but more updated to keep the stories fresh for new audiences which they've been trying to do for past recent houses.

I would love for them to get meta and create a house where you walk "through" the park, sorta like how Case Files lead you into the Kitty Kat Club. There's so many cool facades that they could use.

Just spitballing, but the storyline could be something about you entering the park after hours, but then things go south and you get hunted by *insert villain here* as you try to escape.

I remember at Busch gardens 2019 owl o scream they had an interesting maze called simon says (R rated).

It was pretty fun , all based around the simon says naming, one of the zones was "simon says vomit" with actors doing the obvious, the smell was disgusting:grin:

One note that I’d like to make:

If…IF sets are indeed being scrapped, that sounds more like an IP replacement than an original to me.

If they just needed to fill a house with an original, they would likely work within their current set up (like in Purge, Hive, Case Files, ETC)
The fact that they MAY be starting from scratch sounds like needing to do specific sets.

Now the other question…which IP?

I mean the usual suspects can be obviously taken out of the equation as before lol Thirteen Ghosts, Gremlins, the usual ones people keep throwing out there, but it would be an ip that the team has been wanting to do for awhile and been on their bucket list, "White Whale" project but what it could be? Anything.

John Carpenter's The Thing I know people really wanna see since the anniversary but I could see it waiting longer down the line again. I don't see the ip that they pick up matching up to the big three headliners for this year but could be who knows.

All in all it could be an original and starting from scratch with an original they've been wanting to do for a while said "screw it lets do it this year see what it could lead down the line?"

Accidently, didn’t mean to post.

Silence of the Lambs was talked about last year, wasn't it?

I would love to see the thing but I think from a prop perspective, as you say, would be very time consuming.

Whats the 3 main houses- Monsters, Halloween and The weekend?

Unless it’s an IP they can easily negotiate, either because they’ve done it before or it’s an internal (Universal) property, it won’t be an IP replacement. Pulling props and decor is expected with any house replacement. Which is what it sounds like is happening. They won’t build from scratch because that means they have to design “from scratch” for the space they have. That space’s shape actually varies from year to year in the shared soundstages.

Any “white whale” IP would take some time to negotiate—which is something they don’t have. Rehearsals start in about six weeks, remember.

Its usually one of the speculated ips but nothing drops it from really, maybe sometime in the future we could see a SOTL house. It was surprising back in 06 that it was at the event in All Nite Die In: Take 2 and possibly a few times in past years before that too but I think it's more so the subject matter of the film that have some people sour on it.

I mean they sorta have the stuff all documented, it could be possible but its also time consuming to really rush that and I don't think they wanna rush that ip that definitely wanna save it for the future and take their time with it. The big three of this year's event is Monsters, Halloween and Weeknd.

So my guess the house has to be almost done right? Since they have 6 weeks for rehearsals, it has to be a run and gun quick situation right now and since it won't be a ip situation, its an easy fix original.

The Chucky show (or films for that matter) wouldn’t require very elaborate sets but idk how long making Chucky himself would take assuming he would be puppets.
Chucky is very simple but I don’t think they wanna overuse him unless just using for merchandise opportunities, I could see the show becoming a house in the future but also he could just as well be Hollywood exclusive in the future or joint.

I would be pretty gutted if they went for a chucky house, I kinda feel like he has been used too much at HHN, whether as a scare zone or a house- its maybe just me though.

Fingers crossed for another standout horror IP, not holding my hopes too high by the sounds of it

Still standing strong on the Treaks & Foons Original house, or just going with Hollywood and doing Killer Klownz again, which could also go with the high-rise apartments.

Too much? Out of the 30 years at Orlando's event, he's ONLY had one house (2009), one SZ (2018), & one photo-op (2021)

If you want to get even more technical, him & Tiffany were featured at the event for "Bride of Chucky" promo hype back in 1998

Over in Hollywood, he was an established staple of the event during the early years. He's iconic.
