Howl-O-Scream 2022 (Seaworld Orlando)

Love Sea World starting a Halloween rivalry with Universal
I don't see it as rivalry as much as coopertition. People come to Orlando for HHN. Now some of them will add on a night for HOS. Some of the locals may choose one over the other based on cost or novelty, but they all will feed off of each other.

More than anything this is a boost for Tampa making a Florida ticket combo and pass for SW and BG.

So the follow up tweet was ... "word to the wise: the port opens at 1600"

New house or gates open at 4PM daily?

Manta -- perfect, with Icebreaker as well will really draw in coaster fans.

(Possible) lagoon show -- here for it. Always the best part of Christmas.

Pirates 2: Buccaneer Boogaloo -- mixed emotions. Favorite house last year, theme fits Sea World, fairly classic Halloween trope. But repeats are not going to get it done in Orlando. By itself not bad, but this was their lead-off?

Longshoreman Tavern -- meh. Never really gelled last year. Initial fun of seeing actors force Jello shots down guests' throats was neutered as the event went on.

Honestly, I like the houses last year, but I wasn't blown away by any of the houses except Ice. I however loved all of the scarezones at the event, enjoyed the themed bars (especially the monetized Guest Activated Trigger), and thought Mako at night was one of the best things at any event.

With that being said, my favorite event of anything I visited last year was HoS Tampa.

SeaWorld Orlando has announced new details for this year’s Howl-O-Scream 2022 event, including the return of a reimagined Captain’s Revenge haunted house, a new scarezone, and more.

I bought the BOGO deal and will be in town opening weekend. What’s the best day to go? I’m avoiding Friday for obvious reasons.

Sunday would probably be your best bet. It's a school night, so less kids to deal with.

I went on a Saturday last year and was able to hit each house twice, both shows, a couple of rides on Mako, and still finished a half hour before the event ended.

Sunday was an absolute blast last year

If you have a pass head into the park early, they hold you over by Mako, there is a seating area and food

Plus a comedy group does a little show for you
