I am OK with not all parks being the same, but I do think all parks need some kind of balance so that people want to visit all the parks. So one outdoor coaster for thrill and one for kids seems like a good thing. Now I do think whatever they add there shouldn't be as high of a height...
It isn't that I don't like an indoor coaster, I am saying a park is better with both because they are different experiences. There is a huge difference between Mummy and VC. They are totally different experiences which is a GOOD thing. I am looking for variety so I think it is good thing to...
On the flip side, when they do this they can perfect them and they become reliable systems and less downtime. How often does a boat or omnimover go down during a week? When you need capacity it might be better to build something that is reliable on a known tech vs becoming inventive and...
I would think that they wouldn't want to compete for night time show offerings. I don't know any park that does night time in two different places. Even when MK offered a night time parade you could stand in the same place. Universal Mardi Gras the parade goes by the concert venue. I don't...
Any park with a show of any sort makes the other areas dead. MK is the same during fireworks and parades. We skip fireworks to ride rides or we will just catch it wherever we are. I have seen those fireworks at interesting angles because we will come out of a ride, watch, get back on more...
I agree they don't need to. Locals are well aware that Disney gives the least to its AP holders compared to the other two parks. It is well known SW gives the most and Disney the least. It doesn't stop people from getting any of them. I didn't not get Universal and keep Sea World because SW...
Honestly not having a villain in a ride is fine for me. Honestly seeing things thru my kids eyes, they don't really care for the villain parts of the rides. So I feel more kids will like this ride better without one and as an adult I am just going to be fascinated with all the scenes and AAs...
WDW has always attracted the locals. I am not sure why people think locals do not go. But since I have lived here I always knew of locals including myself that went to the various parks including Disney. It never seemed to me that one park won more than the other park when it came to locals...
I disagree. I think each park needs a thrill coaster outside and a family one outside. There is a difference between inside and outside. The inside ones at Uni don't fully feel like coasters. They stop and have scenes and stuff.
They have bigger fish to fry? I mean it has decent rides, an OK theme, and so why change it right now? They need to tackle the aging ride systems and LC being completely shut down right now. And it has always been that way, bigger fish to fry.
Agreed, you don't re-theme an area to then 2 years later close down one of the rides. Also, they are trying to balance the park better and that is a good kid ride that appeals to others. My kids actually like it better than the new one.
DHS had a ton of shows, so it wasn't like all capacity was on those 3. Was the GMR and Toy Story ever down at the same time though?
USF does need more capacity. When you go during peak times the waits are pretty insane across the park. Losing 2 rides would not be the best, but I will say...
100% off topic, but couldn't find a different thread for general questions. Is there a chicken out option? Like if we get to the front of the line and someone doesn't want to go in, is there somewhere they can go to get to the exit where we would come out?
I am asking for my daughter. She...
Agreed, it looks like fresh concrete has just been poured where those spinning things need to go along with that front section behind the gong being a mess. They are not on finishing details on this part at all and who knows what it looks like on the inside. I think they will either delay this...
There are parks in the US only closed 2.5 months and mainly because of snow and freezing temps and they have similar weather conditions during the year except brutal heat in the summer. With no snow and no freezing, year round sounds about right.
Florida rains ALL the time. But it is mostly...
The last two times we didn't ride steel curtain and it was still a great trip both times. Love Kennywood. Sad I have never been on this coaster, but with young kids long lines are harder on those bigger coasters. My daughter really wanted to go but the line was insane opening year and then...
I would love for some spinning to come back in certain scenes that really should have them along with some areas needing more now with no spinning. In its current state this ride really isn't at the level of dark rides at Disney or ET.
