I attended the D23 40th event and it was pretty great! Initially things got a little fubared getting into the park and lining up for Creations shop, but after that, the breakfast and reserved seats for the “celebration” were cool. Enjoyed hearing the old EPCOT tunes as well!
I was in Epcot for the 40th celebration and actually couldn’t get a VQ at 7. I ended up getting one at the 1pm slot, but didn’t ride till 8:30. I have to say the ride was awesome. By luck, I got front row on the ride and it was great to have an unobstructed view of everything, even though it...
Agreed. Illuminations was not as location dependent as Harmonious. I’d argue you have about 40% of the area around the lagoon where the view is good. Otherwise, you are in between the viewing angle of the taco barges
The real hypocrisy to me is someone assaults another person on international television, goes back to his seat, wins an award, and is greeted by a standing ovation. Hollywood is never going to change… they just keep looking the other way.
Back in the day, the original SSE was awesome. Lost the decent (tomorrows child) and other things along the way. Hopefully they can get a decent refurb on this at some point.
It’s totally crazy to wait that long for something, almost anything, and really crappy for them to have ONE stand open with these. Very easily could have setup mutiple kiosks in a central area. But that would have been too easy and less Instagram worthy.
If you’re not driving, I would recommend Amazon Fresh since they will deliver right to the resort on your arrival day. I’ve done this my last two trips and saved a bunch on water and snacks.
It’s inside the venue, so it won’t operate if events aren’t going on. There is a site called Xfinity Live that operates right outside this venue with bars and restaurants which is where I could envision a second location popping up if it proves popular enough.
