    Iger Stepping Down, Chapek Replaces

You could at least tell Iger cared about the product he was selling. I don't think that's something Chapek will ever do. I miss our creative/business leader duos. The Eisner era was.. chaotic, but the Eisner/Wells (which is to say: the Walt/Roy) dynamic has always seemed to work best for...

    WDW 50th Celebration

Boo Bash coming instead of MNSSHP has me a little hopeful we could be getting some more pomp and circumstance starting in October than what's been announced. The way things are tracking, I think Disney should be fine to return to fireworks and parades for the 50th, but August 10th is a bit more...

    Universal's Epic Universe Construction Thread

Huh, it's more centered in the plot of land than I expected. I mean, I'm sure they've thought about it and have a plan lol, it just seems looks like they're building themselves into a corner a little bit when it comes to adding more offerings down the line. I'm excited to see how this south...

    Disney's Hollywood Studios (General Discussion)

Yeah and remember, if the reservation system stays when the parks are back to the old capacities - which it looks like it very well may - you'll only ever run into an issue when a park reaches that capacity: Christmas, New Years, etc. So it really shouldn't have any effect on the typical day -...

    Harmonious

From my understanding, it's the other way around: the content on the tacos are complimentary to what's in the portal (or cropped versions of the same media for the areas that can't see the portal). Viewing angle is important. While the Illuminations globe was a fraction of the size, it was a 360...

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

Huh. The first did well in theaters - I wonder why the streaming bidding war even happened at all? Either way, I'm thrilled we now have 2 confirmed sequels coming pretty soon, it seems.

    Busch Gardens Williamsburg

It looks great. Another must-do coaster opening this year to add to the list  Though, as fun as it's going to be, I hope the theming and landscaping will be on par with the rest of the park. It's truly one of the most beautiful parks I've been to, but it just feels like they've been moving...

    WDW 50th Celebration

A fresh coat of paint is always nice, but... what is this color scheme they've committed to? lol. Navy (or blue for the WDW signs) and gold, but sometimes rose gold? Between the Resort entrances, the MK toll plaza sign, and now the TTC, I think it all looks fine, but it still manages to feel...

Halloween Horror Nights 30 (UOR) - Speculation & Rumors (2021)

Yeah, I know she's hoping to release her second album this year, and she doesn't seem like an artist that would want to dwell on older work, or do the same thing twice, so I had a feeling. Thanks! Shame it never came to fruition.

Halloween Horror Nights 30 (UOR) - Speculation & Rumors (2021)

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but I just caught up on this thread and couldn't find it: Do we know why Billie was scrapped? Especially after watching her new documentary, I was super fascinated to see how her album would translate to a house.

    Disney's Mulan (2020)

This is my second favorite live-action remake (behind Cinderella) and it would have been great to see in theaters. I second that the plot is the weakest link, but that’s always the case with Disney’s live actions lol. The matrix physics make sense in the story, but still look a little hokey, imo...

    Disney+

Im really interested to see what happens with this Aida revival/national tour they’re working on. It was supposed to open in LA this fall, I believe, but last I checked, they were moving forward with a premiere in Germany, while the U.S. is in shambles lol. The original production is magic and...

    Disney Springs Discussion

That’s a real shame. Ample Hills is great and one of the few worthwhile ice cream shops on property. Disney Springs was really gonna benefit from the new storefront.

General Discussion - Jurassic World: The Ride

In the movie, didn't the kids in the gyroscope end up way off course? In a state of emergency, I expect to see things where they don't normally belong. I think any explanation (guests drove the gyroscope off course, the dinosaur threw it there, it was a spare gyro backstage that the dino...

Rivers of Light General Discussion and Photos

I really enjoyed it back in its original form and with the live performers. It was pretty and relaxing and the music was nice. It made sense in DAK. But they had grand plans for the tech that never panned out, so it was missing some spectacle, which is a real shame. Then it went downhill fast...

    Hershey Park

I noticed the trims on Candymonium’s airtime hills look very different than the one on Mako. Did you notice a difference? I find the trim on Mako to be fairly jarring, so I’m hoping this new style at the bottom of the hill is a bit less noticeable.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure (Opening Summer 2024)

Ah, I didn’t see your post. Yes, that makes a lot of sense as a starting point!

Tiana's Bayou Adventure (Opening Summer 2024)

I’m absolutely convinced that the PatF re-theme petition was a controlled leak to gauge GP reaction and create buzz. It’s just such a specific cause that I can’t believe it was a coincidence, especially after Scott Trowbridge said he’s been stealthily working on the project for a year now. That...

Transformers: The Ride - Summer 2013

Yeah I would’ve loved if the building had city facades (at least on the New York and Lagoon sides) with a more “discreet” entrance into the headquarters, which makes more sense within the story anyway, imo. You could still put Optimus Prime outside so guests know that’s an entrance to a ride. Of...

    Super Nintendo World (Osaka)

I think an issue Disney has run into recently is valuing realism over fun. Potter (and now definitely SNW) strike right the balance. Pandora and SWGE? Teeter a notch too far in one direction.
