DreamWorks Land coming to USF (2024)

Off topic, but you may enjoy this home video from 1997 I found on YouTube this week :)

DreamWorks Land coming to USF (2024)

I know flats aren’t what people expect for a premium park, but they’re seriously cheap to build for a chain like Universal, and they’re always a hit with families. I feel like adding several to this land should have been a bit of a no brainier really. There’s some really good, fun for all family...

    Universal's Epic Universe Hotel Speculation

To be honest, I’m constantly surprised by how well priced Cabana Bay is. It’s a constant temptation, I have to train myself not to look! Fully expect Helios to cost more Cabana Bay 7 nights To be honest (Potentially double?!), but I feel it needs to be done, as a one off. I visited Islands...

    Universal's Epic Universe Hotel Speculation

Planning on coming to Florida again for 3 weeks when Epic Universe opens. On our first trip of 2022 we stayed 7 days Cabana Bay, 11 days Caribbean Beach. Universal are definitely capturing a higher proportion of our days & nights these days. We couldn’t resist a return last year (Velocicoaster‘s...

    The Future of PortAventura

This park needs a new operator. If it’s not Universal, then so hope it’s someone else. It’s so gorgeous, but the operations are without question the worst of any theme park in the world. It’s genuinely laughable.

    Disneyland Paris Resort

Disneyland Paris has a lot of critics, who have never actually stepped into the park. You see it on themeparkinsider & elsewhere when a Disneyland Paris story is shared & people pile in with their thoughts - it’s painfully obvious they’ve not visited. I understand some of the hate, as they view...

KidZone Replacement Rumors & Speculation (Pt 2)

I know flat rides are hard to get excited for in general, but they’re so cheap to build (for anyone that isn’t Disney) and I really feel they should add a few to add some additional experiences in a park that’s lacking in many areas. The spinner in Simpsons Land queue shows the demand for this...

Remember that time Port Aventura was named Universal Mediterranea?

ThemeparkWorldwide, a popular UK vlogger, did a livestream tonight and it was mentioned by many people in the live chat. So I don’t know in all honesty, but people have got it from somewhere (potentially a different, not reliable source!) Just passing it on so I can claim first ha edit - found...

Remember that time Port Aventura was named Universal Mediterranea?

There are rumours swirling that Universal are interested in buying back Port Aventura, to establish a presence in Europe.

Pipeline - SWO Surf Coaster (Spring 2023)

I think this is going to be a fantastic addition. I was initially underwhelmed, but the track looks fantastic and we’ve maybe underplayed the feeling of launching at 60mph whilst standing. Love the swooping design…I think this will be a hit. Shame it looks like a surf coaster, in Seaworld...

Jurassic World VelociCoaster - General Discussion

Yeah I don’t think a coaster can be considered top tier with overhead restraints these days. It’s for B&M to make their move into this field now

Jurassic World VelociCoaster - General Discussion

Just popping in to say I think this has to be one of the most successful additions to any theme park in the world, ever. This and Hagrids have lifted IoA to being the best in the world imo. Disneyland being the biggest competition that I’ve visited - I suspect Disney Sea would have something to...

Future of Jurassic Park River Adventure

I think the opening scene they’ve used in Hollywood is great in itself, but doesn’t need repeating for Orlando. Update the animatronics and we’re good to go for another 20 years. I’m guessing any investment will require a marketing benefit, so I expect a J World update for purely marketing...

    Thorpe Park - New Coaster

Controversial opinion, but I’m hoping this provokes Blackpool Pleasure Beach to react, and the only feasible way I can see that happening is through removal of some of their, erm, classic (painful) coasters. I‘ll never go on infusion again in my life, and Grand National needs a full retrack as...

    Most Gorgeous Park Ever?

This park is so special to me as I visited as a child the year it opened & it blew my mind. To this day, it still does. I’m so excited that I get to experience that newness all over again, with Epic Universe. We visited with children in our extended group this year & I got to experience parts...

Alton Towers - Project Horizon (New SW)

I think they need to rethink that a little. Drayton Mannor have shown it‘s possible to do fun themes without going dark, which is maybe a little too easy.

Revenge of the Mummy Refurbishment (Late 2022)

It‘s a shame as it makes a great scene look really cheap. Poor show.

Revenge of the Mummy Refurbishment (Late 2022)

Was the turntable scene always so light? I can’t recall, but it’s my main gripe. Glad to have it back though. The park absolutely needs it.

Alton Towers - Project Horizon (New SW)

It‘s a sensible decision for this park to build more indoor rides, given the climate. Not sure if rollercoasters are what’s required though. We’ve seen Merlin dabble into dark rides recently, so I maybe expected an attempt here.

    SeaWorld Orlando's Future Plans

Just back from Seaworld & I previously posted my thoughts on Howl-o-scream, which I thought was absolutely incredible. Wasn’t sure where to put this so here goes. Food - utterly utterly atrocious. Someone in our party got chicken tenders at roughly 11am and they’d clearly been reheated from the...
