This seems a bit far fetched, but I’d love if they added a little bit of place making/theming around the permanent structures. Nothing crazy, but things like permanent queue areas, permanent lighting structures, and maybe some light shrubbery could go a long way.
Pretty interesting since I thought Avatar lends itself more to Tomorrowland. Not quite sure which IP would anchor any future update now.
Any possibilities come to mind? Still pretty interested in the status of that Peoplemover rumor that came about last year. There were a lot of insiders...
I know it’s likely we’re getting reservations for the land, but I can’t help but think it’s going to be a nightmare trying to walk through the LL when it finally opens. Don’t know why they didn’t do any crowd flow related placemaking down there prior to opening — this has always been the issue...
People did talk about the facade abruptly stopping for Pets and the FJ show building being visible. This type of recourse isn’t new. It was even talked about for GE at DL with the rockwork steel being visible from the Mark Twain and the Parking structure.
It just sticks out as cheaper quality...
If we are able to see them from the StarWay (in person), then I can’t even imagine how it’ll look even closer within the land. It looks atrocious and super distracting in person around the entrance area by Transformers unfortunately.
I was hoping this wasn’t the case.
Wish they were thinking more in terms of future park expansion, which I was hoping would align more with the direction of the upper lot.
So how do we expect The Weeknd house to work exactly?
Do we think it’ll be a specific theme, featuring The Weeknd (similar to UCM and Slash), or do we expect it to be based purely on his music discography?
My top replacement choice would be Beetlejuice since we never actually received it. We were supposed to before the initial contracts were allegedly breached due to the early merchandise release, but it still is a WB property.
Design work I would assume is fully packaged and complete, would just...
I’m not that opposed to retheming Springfield, but I’d definitely miss it. The Simpson’s universe translates pretty well into a theme park environment.
With that being said, I hope Diagon Alley is not in the works. That would be a Potter overload in the Upper Lot. I want Universal’s offerings...
Not speculation, but how does one go about finding a scenic painting job for the mazes? I believe they’re outsourced to a 3rd party but I’d love to find out more info on where to look!
I think ANY change involving ROTM being removed will be the absolute best thing for the LL. It’s intrusive building configuration I think really limits further place making and additions.
I’m genuinely surprised at how great this ride is. I think this is one of the dark best rides I’ve seen in a long while. Very detailed and seems like a next gen Fantasyland dark ride.
I actually expected SNW to have a ride of this caliber. I honestly prefer it over the POV’s I’ve seen of Mario Kart.
