Basically this, but Warner Bros instead of HMH. Horror Made Here seems like it’s dead for good though considering they didn’t bring it back for IT 2, Doctor Sleep, and Annabelle Comes Home. 2018’s event flopped hard too and I heard that the lot might not even be available to them anywhere
Totally agreed about the zones, but they can’t do the licensed stuff unless they get the licenses(and the ones mentioned sans IT are basically impossible at the moment).
I think The Harvest was a good way they could do zones like that since they had the props from the houses as a preview to...
The March announcement is probably gonna be the main headlining IP. If that Conjuring rumor is valid I’d bet on that since none of the other speculated IPs are on that level.
Although it could be something different all together, maybe Blumhouse 3 as a fun surprise:grin:
According to Wikipedia the New Mickey Mouse Club was called “MMC” by fans from 1993-1996. Christina Aguilera was on that cast and has a song called “Candyman”
In terms of how 25 featured content from 20-24 I think we can expect the following ruled out:
- Based on 25 we can rule out Psychoscarepy, Run, and Body Collectors getting their own houses. Run seems like a now dead franchise since Run 3 wasn’t too well received but the Body Collectors are...
Its weird because we were so close to having to it in 27 too. There’s sections of Hive where you could tell the exact scene they were going for, although it’s less obvious than Scurge was
We need a separate thread for all the clues for reference lol I can’t even find the tree.
Edit about the latest clue:
That picture is of The Sane Abandoned’s song Lost in Translation, which is the name of a movie from 2003 that Bill Murray starred in which points to Zombieland since we know...
So it seems at this point these are the only IPs that have been brought up in the spec/potential leak catching rumor department:
- Halloween 5
- Creepshow
- The Conjuring
- Jordan Peele’s Candyman
- Doctor Who
In terms of what seemed reasonable to rule out:
- Doctor Who has already been...
Honestly after thinking about it more I’d give this like a 2.5/5. Felt really redundant and spent a lot of time backtracking TLJ, plus some scenes just dragged on for way too long.
Agreed that Conjuring seems too good to be true. Hoping it’s not just a coincidence that it’s been more talked about on this years spec than all of 29 & 28’s.
Honestly I think Candyman could be a really scary house if they play up the
mirrors and randomness of when he shows up since he was basically everywhere at once in the movie. Although, unless Jordan Peele’s remake is more aggressive in scares I’d expect the house to be a lot like Us...
Conjuring + Candyman is enough for me. Creepshow doesn’t seem too far fetched either and I think the three of those could be pretty easily marketed.
One thing about if Conjuring were to come though is that, if a 30 Years house happens, it would likely not be an entire Universe mega house...
