Meanwhile, Idk if HHN negotiations will get easier (they probably still have to negotiate with the owners of the movies if they wanna use their depictions) but if it means new movies from new producers down the road, then HHN might have an easier time negotiating for rights then.

I think there's so much that could be done with the HELLRAISER concept in the modern era (using the pursuit of the Lament Configuration's "pleasures" as a metaphor for any number of addictions -- sexual, substance, gambling -- that people deal with), but I do wonder if the IP well has been thoroughly poisoned by the lack of any good movies in the franchise for over 30 years. HELLRAISER has spawned a lot of garbage since the second film.
