I hope this thread has not been started before. If so, shoot me.

As does occur, I happened on this execution of the end music from The Da Vinci Code today performed by the Radio Vienna orchestra. The music is compelling but the execution of the filming almost seems impossible. It is most excellent. Enjoy!

You basically hit the nail on the head in a way. Hans Zimmer is just amazing. He brought most of Christopher Nolans movies to life with the soundtrack (batman trilogy, Interstellar, Inception....). But I do like the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtracks as well. I will have to think more, but those are top of my list.

I classify Film into two aspects; Films that are in Live-Action and Films that are completely animated from start to finish without any live action aspects..I also am not including any songs that have singing included (so I have to not include musical songs from Tangled or Beauty and The Beast in there..).

For Animation:
5.) Beauty and the Beast. Favorite Song from Soundtrack; Prologue
4.) The Simpsons Movie. Favorite Song from Soundtrack; Thank you Boobed Lady
3.) UP. Favorite Song from Soundtrack; Married Life
2.) Monsters Inc. Favorite Song from Soundtrack; Main Theme
1.) Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. Favorite Song from Soundtrack; Birth of Batman

For Live Action:

5.) Psycho. Favorite Song from Soundtrack; Prelude
4.) The Avengers. Favorite Song from Soundtrack; Assemble
3.) Transformers. Favorite Song from Soundtrack; Arrival to Earth
2.) Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse of The Black Pearl. Favorite Song from Soundtrack; Drink Me Up Hearties!
1.) Jurassic Park. Favorite Song from Soundtrack; Credits

There is my list; as of late for Animated and Live Action.

So my mind wandered off on other great film endings music tonight... and my mind ran into a piece of music I knew but I had never thought about. After a few drinks to loosen up my brain, I thought, is that Clair De Lune by Debussy? I would have never remembered that sober sad to say. Just too friggin stressed out. Oceans 11 end music which I find brilliant:

As it is somewhat a song that is somewhat Public Domain; I didn't include that into my list..but, whenever I need to think; I put that song on, just to relax and have my mind go at it.

Wild, that ever since the movie and the antique music choice, I cannot see anything but all the characters leaning on the rail of the Bellagio fountain until the closing of the garage door.

I swear, every time that I hear that song out of nowhere; I stop my thinking process, and imagine that finale scene from Ocean's 11. It really is, one of the best uses of a song that is public domain in any film to me.

And this is one of my favorite films ever. I LOVE this scene. Keep in mind that I am a wild American Patriot. But inspiring music can be dangerous and this is an example. Not symphony at all but compelling in context. If you haven't seen the film then you should.

And this the opening soundtrack. Sorry, but even if I hate their guts, I still have to admire a good tune well executed! :saywhat:

The late, great James Horner was perhaps my favorite movie composer. Avatar, Casper, and the Grinch were all pretty hit or miss, but the soundtracks were amazing.

I've always been a fan of Hans Zimmer's work. His score for The Power of One, Thelma and Louise, and his score (not to be confused with Elton John's songs) for the Lion King are some of my favorites. Busch Gardens used to use a lot of his music in the old KaTonga show.
