On the topic of Dead By Daylight, th only licensed killer i could see being part of it is Ghostface. They licensed the mask from Funworld and created a new character with the Ghostface identity. Honestly, i like him more than any of the Ghostfaces from the movies too lol.

That would be something if they managed to finally get ghostface into the event through some loophole, lol

I’m a huge fan of Ghostface and the Scream franchise(minus the dumpster fire that is 7) so i will happily take the DBD version

I was pretty disappointed, well lets just say, definitely not excited, about this lineup at all, until THIS!

They did. 2006's "All Nite Die-In: Take 2" (Scream, Ring, Hellraiser, & Silence of the Lambs) all featured unofficially in The Director's sequel house for the 16th anniversary

Ahh I see. Didn’t start going til ‘09. But I remember a few years back scream house fell through last min. Can’t believe it’s been 20 years without him (or her, depending which one :P )

edit: just realized that "few years back" was 11 years ago.. oh my god.

I mean, Universal owns Chucky, they can probably use him too.

Iirc there's some kind of theme park permadeal for Leatherface too, although that might be wrong.

It's not a permadeal, but he's been fairly easy to license, of late. That might get a little trickier with the new show/movie (or whatever it ends up being) in the works.

If they were to ever try Dead by Daylight, I think they'd stick with the game's characters just to make things simpler.

I think the odds of DBD at HHN will skyrocket if the movie/series/whatever is well received. I'd have to imagine it will mostly feature the original characters though!

I don't know that it's bigger than last year, but a lineup of:

Hellraiser
Evil Dead
Stranger Things
Sinners

is pretty substantial. Especially because I assume there's a 5th IP in there as well, unless I'm forgetting it now!

If we had Hellraiser, Evil Dead, Sinners, Ozzy, and Jack the Clown, that would be a killer lineup for me personally (and even better with KKFOS and Terrifier returning). Stranger Things I don't care about, but with so many great other options, I would be more than happy for one meh house with 180+ minute wait times to be a people eater.

Sucks that it’s looking like Stranger Things is back and coming instead of IT. I just hope that this is the last Stranger Things house for like… ever

Same. Only thing that makes me not mind is my daughter would get to see a ST house. She just started going at HHN33 and she loves the show.

Suuuurre... OR just NOT use Jack for consistency reasons since, you know, he's got a permanent Vegas residency now

Why would that matter? Well, when Jack came back for the 25th, he was absent from Singapore where had appeared the previous year. The following year, he returned to Singapore fitted in his upgraded 25th anniversary Ringmaster attire. Yay consistency!

So if they gave Vegas a temporary "headliner", then it'd keep the illusion (no matter how lame & uncreative it is for Orlando to fall back on Jack. Again. For another anniversary).

Yes he's popular, but to rely on his presence every 5 years is really sad. It's bad enough he's in Vegas when it should've been Lady Luck's 2nd chance

Universal really needs to play with their other nightmare inducing faces of terror & torment OR create something new (preferably without auto-tune or a retcon/reworked existing character from the past). Pumpkin Lord was top-tier minus his belching.

I’m agnostic on Jack returning - I think he’s great but I’ve seen him twice before, so I land on the side of hoping he comes again just so my brother + other fans who haven’t seen him get a chance - but I’m just curious on the GP feedback:

For those here who know for a fact that Universal considers him successful with the general public, is that just a based on a vibe check when talking with locals or are there also GSATs / merch sales figures folks have heard that clearly proved his success?

(Realize we could presume this based on how often he’s returned, but wondering if there’s any other info on it, quantitative or qualitative)

The general public want the same thing year after year, but they'll also complain its the same every year

Most importantly most don't even know whats there, what they did, or will do the rides then complain they couldn't do more than 2 houses because of long lines.

In the long run, it doesn't even matter who they have as an icon because IPs are so heavily used that the icon most likely won't even be used for marketing, especially when they want to be as cheap as possible & only change the audio/title card to say Orlando/Hollywood. It's all about IPs.
