Looks like the final day of operation is the 17th… they totally botched that announcement. Lots of outlets posting that you can get your final rides in on the 18th.

It’s not about reading comprehension. “Closing on” is vague without context and can be mean different things, either the ride is still operating that day or already shut down. The post should have clarified whether it would be the final day of operations or not. Let’s not call fans illiterate over a poorly worded announcement..

Again, I understand asking for clarity… but it wasn’t poorly worded. That’s literally how you would word the announcement. Every closure Universal has announced for the last decade has been worded the exact same way without any issue.

RIP to the first ride I ever worked. Wasn't a big fan of the ride itself, but I had a lot of memories here. Some bad, but mostly good. I'm just happy that I never have to work mosh pit again lol

Most people don’t follow Universal’s announcements though, so that’s why I said without context. How are you supposed to know that’s how they announce it and what it means if you’ve never seen a closure post before. You couldn’t definitively know if the last day of operations was the 17th or 18th by the initial post alone, because it wasn’t clearly stated, a la poorly written…even the outlets got it wrong…

Though on the flip side, bumping up the closure could speak to an antsy readiness from UDX to fix up USF, and that vibe is a very welcome one.

Yeah, this is wild to me. It's a big draw during HHN - especially for a year with a (rumored to be) loaded lineup.

You’re right, they’ve done this for years. Technically speaking, it will be closing for the final time at the end of park operations on the 17th. It’s always been strange the way they worded these closures.

And forgive me. I wasn't trying to say anyone's illiterate. I just didn't understand why it was an issue. They stated it permanently closed on Aug 18, so it can't open if it's closed. If they intended the 18th to be the final day, they would add the "closing by EOD" line. It's a 6 of 1 kinda deal where both statements are true.
