There was a point where I didn't see any train for like an hour. I don't know if it was me just missing them, or it was down, but I did see a train around 4 and it was open for the remainder of the day.

How many cars have they been running lately?

I'm praying to God that they have all the trains up before June or boarding this attraction will be hell on Earth.

So technically they never did have a grand opening for Rockit, right?
I mean, it's a little late now, but does anyone think that they are going to close it for a while and then actually have a grand opening in the spring?

I went for Rock the Universe and the entire Friday night, the line was the full 3 hours long. Luckily they opened the single riders line when we showed up. We waited not even half an hour (we had to put our stuff in a locker). But they really need to rework the boarding situation. What's the point of having a moving load platform when you load the guests at the front of the station anyways?

Mummy was like that when we went two weekends ago. Also the sign for Rockit's downtime was at the entrance. But I checked my phone for ride times all day and when we saw one for Rockit we bee-lined over there. Sad to see the Mummy animatronic down though. It's one of my favorites.

According to the online wait times Rockit is back up with a 20 minute wait time.

Sad to hear about the Mummy animatronic going back to sleep. Hope they can get it up and running soon!

I'm guessing its a firm nix on that one. To this point, I'm guessing that Universal Creative and Engineering at the point in the delay they were, they really just wanted to defer the minor flaws in the ride, and just get it open. What I'm stating is, the probability of a grand opening ceremony of an attraction 4-5 months after an attraction is embarked on by guests isn't a shrewd move.

They Mummy thing happens every once and a while. Nothing new. They should be getting him back up soon.

Yes happens quite often. Other animatronics may drink tea and such, but Universal's animatronics inside of Revenge of the Mummy do a plethora more and have a cavalcade more moving parts. These machines must be extremely conditioned and occacionally mantinenced, especially as the attraction grows more and more venerable. While its down a diffrent effect is illustrated, but give it a smidge of time, Ihmotep will be online again.

Yeah, usually he is down a month or two before it gets fixed.

It's not that prolonged and it's more for budget reasons that they keep him in B-Mode. I bet he'll be fully running come Sunday and stay that way for a while. If he goes down again expect it to be short lived. In January if he goes down expect it to be a couple weeks.

I hope he is when I go on Sunday but I won't get my hopes up. I agree it definatly has to do with budget sometimes, I'm just not sure if it will be up and running that soon.

So we finally rode Rockit at night tonight. We were lucky enough to get one of the smoother trains. The ride is a lot more fun and offers a whole new experience. It was breathtaking to see Orlando at night from the top of the hill. What was even better was catching former WWE and Current TNA star Mick Foley get off a train. Apparently he's a big theme park guy.

Glad you enjoyed the nighttime ride on Rockit! I've heard from a lot of my friends that have ridden it both in the daytime and at night, and they feel it's much better at night as well. Maybe it's the lights??
