Mattel Theme Park & Indoor Water Park Announced for Orlando Area

Apparently this came out a few days ago, and I’m skeptical it will happen, but apparently Mattel plans to build a third park here in the Orlando area (site unnamed or undetermined) and include their first indoor water park as part of the project. I really can’t see them building this since the two they’re already building keep getting their openings pushed back, but maybe?

They've been in talks for a few months now with local officials, so it's far more in development than most blue-sky projects (like most I-Drive projects lol).

The Arizona one is in perpetual delay. If any of these actually open I will be shocked.

The Orlando project is a different contractor who has decent experience in the industry.

Wait, this just sounds like a Mattel themed Great Wolf Lodge.

It would be awesome if it is priced where a family of 4 could base camp there while visiting WDW/UOR. But I'm sure it will be priced to be an add-on to your Orlando Vacation Experience!

Yeah… the one is KC was suppose to open next summer and I don't think they have actually even broke ground yet…
