Seems like a good time to me. I think both of those actors are great and have already proven that they have nice chemistry together on screen.

Sounds like a plan. It looks like a genuine spin-off, and not one of those that’s just a new cast and same plot with the olds cast playing cameo roles.

Emma Thompson has been added to the spin-off,

Also since the last bit of news, Liam Neeson and Kumail Nanjiani also have joined the cast; with Rafe Spall, Laurent Nicolas Bourgeois and Larry Nicolas Bourgeois

I’m absolutely shocked that this looks watchable.

Does universal fold into this equation in any way? And if this is successful, what’re the chances we see will smith pop up in a sequel?

Outside of Universal being a minority owner in Amblin they aren't involved, but they weren't involved in the original either

Ohhhhhh. I never knew how we got the MIB ride in the first place. That makes sense though

I think the movie looks like a decently-entertaining time.

Hopefully it's a big, big hit to keep the ride relevant and off the chopping block.

If this ends up being half decent, I hope UO will at least throw a bit of cash at Alien Attack to get it a face lift. A gentle face lift - enough to make us go "this is nice again" but not enough that we start bringing pitchforks.

What if they rethemed MIB:AA to the London facility, so it works better with WWoHP:DA next door?

This could be good, I hope they revitalize the brand. MiB is a great catalyst that can be used to tell many different stories. No offense, 2 & 3 felt like they were milking the sequel tropes as much as they could without real substance. It seems there'd be some of that with this one, but a little bit is okay if it fits into a good story.

I hope Frank the Pug at least makes a cameo appearance in this one. I agree this looks pretty decent to me and worth a viewing.

I would be saddened to say farewell to the World's Expo and the Universe and You, but it is pretty dated. Modernizing the show building and some of the ride would be cool.

In my mind, the actual ride can stay mostly the same - maybe update the background to take place in London instead of NYC (someone mentioned something similar I think - sorry, I forgot who!), but otherwise the track and mechanism is fine.

Except make it easier to max out please.

Two words: Sony reboot. I can see this getting the same divided reaction as Ghostbusters did.

Not even close. The hatred from that, at least in certain places, was straight misogynistic.

I'm still seeing those types of comments in the YouTube sections, albeit not nearly as many as GB faced.
