Neither of those are even remotely worth caring about the seventh film in a horror franchise if you legitimately don't enjoy it.

If you don't care for the movie, why bother checking the topic every time it has a new post then?

I try to never care much about things I have no interest in. Why it's almost a human condition to be attracted to the negative has always puzzled me.

Oh I love these movies, Scream is my favorite slasher franchise. It’s more a frustration that they’re not trying to keep some of the casting choices a little more hush hush.

It's true. The only casting they should've announced are the newcomers & Neve/Courtney.

Everyone returning from previous films should've been kept under lockdown until it was released. Of course, they'd have to remember how to edit trailers again not to spoil stuff early.

Either this is going the “New Nightmare” route, which is what they should’ve done given the circumstances, or they are going full Avengers Doomsday and just throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks. What a freaking mess this movie is sounding.

They didn't plan on having dead characters return originally. And depending on the story/plot, it isn't dumb.

How is SAW dumb? Because they killed off John Kramer aka Jigsaw? They've been able to weave a very intricate storyline & do flashbacks to expand the story. It's "world building".

They didn't plan on having dead characters return originally. And depending on the story/plot, it isn't dumb.


How is SAW dumb? Because they killed off John Kramer aka Jigsaw? They've been able to weave a very intricate storyline & do flashbacks to expand the story. It's "world building".

the people behind saw has said time and time again that they regret killing jigsaw, they have been very public about their regrets about it.
you just can't kill your main characters like that ...

as for not planning on having dead characters return for SCREAM, Dewey was someone that should have never been touched, regardless of sequels or not, some characters you just can't touch,
they kill characters for shock value because the franchise has nothing new to offer but then they regret it lol.

Are they going a New Nightmare route where these performing actors are playing characters that are playing their characters in Stab? Does a new Ghostface attack a Comiccon where these actors are just doing dumb cameos as themselves at a panel? Does Scream 7 take place in the Afterlife because 7 rhymes with Heaven and everyone is dead? (That doesn't seem so bad, actually).

To be fair I never seen anything of SAW past the first two movies, but from what others told me their opinion of the franchise, apparently it’s a “Kingdom Hearts” type of situation in that it’s way too convoluted/pretentious for its own sake, with all the plot twists and retcons that entails for what is essentially a simplistic premise (in this case: guy puts people in death traps).
