Eddie Redmayne's transformations are incredibly impressive. As for the movie, I think it's a very important - and seemingly gorgeously crafted - piece of trans representation and history, so I'm very excited. Hopefully it follows in the footsteps of the Imitation Game, which was very well received. But I'm sure this movie will make American audiences more - for lack of a better word - uncomfortable, since the transgender movement is only just starting to be discussed positively. The wide world of gender identity is still entirely foreign to the masses, so I expect this to get a bit more backlash, unfortunately.
