Perhaps one of Netflix's most interesting projects. Its about the teenagers during the birth of hip hop, disco, and funk in the Bronx in the 70s. With an inspired funk/disco/rap based soundtrack and direction by Baz Luhrmann, most likely you will be entertained every second. The biggest problem I have with it, the show itself is so stylized and tries to show many elements of the past. One second, its a musical, the next its a rom com, the next its a kung fu film. The show also is very non threatening with no social commentary which makes a easy watch without heating people or being overly preachy.
The stand out star however despite how much I don't like him is Jaden Smith who plays a overly eccentric nerd to a T.
