It's kind of amazing how quickly the narrative around this ride turned around when they just started finishing and revealing the cool stuff they were building. I'm sure there was an audience out there for the (important! interesting in its own right!) narrative around this ride's backstory and its authenticity to the people and culture of New Orleans, but it was almost certainly not the right narrative with which to singularly pitch this particular ride.

Obviously, people would have different standards for, say, a Tropical Americas land being built in Animal Kingdom, where audiences expect cultural authenticity and find it a more integral aspect of that park's appeal.
Yeah. I think I'm somewhat glad they're putting a good bit of thought into these new additions. But I'll be honest and say that any marketing regarding deep lore about the Dwarfs finding the deed to an abandoned middle-ages gem mine, or the authentic Germanic wood carvings used to decorate the scenery around the mountain, were not selling points for the Dwarf's Mine Train personally. It's a fun coaster where I get to see the funny cartoon men in real life. That's really about as deep as it kinda needs to be sometimes.

I know the ride will be great.....it will always be in the back of my mind they missed out on the perfect ride with going up the Hill singing are you Ready plus with Projection Mapping.....anyway

It looks like a fun time and at the very least should be on par with Splash or better in most ways...like the Q getting a Radio and the AA being updated

Yeah, gotta say, these animatronics are undeniably impressive. Still sad about no Facilier, but hoping this comes together.
I think keeping Facilier from the ride for any reason really hinders its chances of maximizing the opportunity for this overlay. Considering that this has a lot to live up to its replacement, that's not a good thing.

yeah but… dig a little deeper is a cool fit and best song in the film (IMO). The Faciler lift would’ve been too samey from its predecessor but a cool what-if nonetheless.

With map projections.....a song vs just talking

No idea how its at all the same...literally the song says "are you ready"

Also change for Changes shake is not always the best path.....the ride was designed in a certain way and sure the new one will be cool but....one day when we can make attractions with AI models people will show you how well that would really fit there...pretty much perfect

I don’t think you remember the Dig A Little Deeper scene in the movie. It has a lot going on and even magical stuff. Also, dig a little deeper honestly works perfect for alluding to a drop.

lol

Its on my top Disney movies and saw it three times in Theaters

Like I said it will be good but won't top Friend's on the Other side...for sure to me the better song and magic swirling around the tunnel as little Voodo guys drums would hype me up much more

I've said my peace....and so have others....some people like no plots and I like a good villain

Honestly not having a villain in a ride is fine for me. Honestly seeing things thru my kids eyes, they don't really care for the villain parts of the rides. So I feel more kids will like this ride better without one and as an adult I am just going to be fascinated with all the scenes and AAs. This will be an amazing ride from everything I have seen.

My only thing with the animatronics is that the texture of the skin on all of these looks far too smooth. A bit too synthetic if you will. But other than that, they look outstanding.
