I would think that would be more expensive. The per person price on a bus that's part of a big contract deal really isn't that high.

Compared to Mears though Uber would be a huge price cut and you can have more people picked up in comfort.

Uber can only handle so many people at a time whereas Mears runs buses the size of the Magical Express ones. It's much cheaper to run with Mears as a company and if the customer wants to take Uber, then so be it, but I don't see how Uber is a good choice for Uni unless they start operating buses.

The point should be to move as many people as possible with as little cars on the road doing the job and as little confusion as possible.
