I’m surprised they didn’t try extending the event by an extra weekend or two this year, but I guess it’s smarter to hedge their bets “just in case” there’s a sophomore slump this soon into its existence.

Personally, I'm hoping they add more dates if initial sales do well. I don't think it is entirely out of the realm of possibility.

I wonder where in the backlot this experience will take place. It'd be incredible if it took place in Little Europe but I don't know if there's good drop off and pick up locations for that area. But I'm sure that if Universal wanted to, they'd find a way to pull it off.

Very excited for this, if somehow we can do this plus BTTF in the court house great if not...I will miss BTTF but I'm down with something new and also a CROSS OVER?

This could be fun if they start doing more cross overs....animes....beetle juice cross ghost busters....so many things you can with cross overs.....Transformers vs Godzillia? Just endless fun

Weird that this is on the backlot. Kinda expected them to just dress up the characters and do something in their normal meet and greet spot. It's cool that it's more than that, but worries me that BTTF isn't returning. Without BTTF, I don't see this event having the value that it did previously.

Monsters just got a land, they are a big draw

Scooby is also big

I love BTTF but this event is about fandoms and people love those two IPs and if its fun that will draw people plus if they announce a Once Piece show that will draw more then enough people and most will want to go try this

I'm a bit sad BTTF wont be coming back, but this is probably for the best. It's good to differentiate the offerings between years.

After this announcement I think it’s clear the BTTF backlog experience isn’t returning. It would be great if they can make up for that by overlaying Simpsons for BTTF, but idk how Fox/Disney would feel.

I guess the rumors about studio operations not liking it were true .

Anyways, excited to see what the rest of the line up is. Maybe the lack of BTTF will allow them to devote more energy to the in-park experiences, especially with data from the last even to work with.

No...? It's been stated that this experience will also be on the studio lot. I think it is likely that switching things up was always a part of their plan.

It seems like they will be coming later. The website says general admission tickets do not include early entry, which implies early entry (and other add-ons) will be a thing.

Did any of y'all buy express for the last Fan Fest??? Hard to imagine needing it, but maybe hype from year 1 and the possibility of the coaster being open (please), will make year 2 bigger.

This is one of the things I mentioned that would get me to go if it came true. I’m in. I don’t regret missing last year all that much but I’d be very sad to miss out on this. Honestly, I’m glad UCM is moving to FFN (for now), it spreads out the horror throughout the year.

I got it for opening night and not needed...many people got a refund because they didn't use the express pass

Like it will save you 10-15 mins sometimes but for 140+ bucks not worth it


I doubt its needed but I wanted to ask because I did not see it for sale and was excited they might be trying an event without it to see how Ops work

EA sucks, like boooo boooo sucks to lock more of the event behind a pay wall, like even for HHN whatever it gives you shorter lines so cool but this just block fans from getting more time

I'm amazed about the idea of two things they got the theme park license to Crossing over. It's such a genius idea and nobody would have guessed that. Super looking forward to it. Might buy the Ultimate Fandom pass too.

Gonna miss BTTF though. But hey, if an HHN house can come back after an absence, I believe the same could be possible for FFN, though I'd imagine tram experiences were different every year.

I disagree (especially when in HHN's case it's basically the only way to choose between FNAF or Terrifier without dealing with an extremely long wait early into the event).
I can see that it might not be necessary for repeat visits, especially on your own, but despite year 1 being chill, I didn't get the chance to do everything in one night on my first go, especially with how much time the special Yoshi M&G ate up. My only other visit was also a friend's one chance to go and the EA helped a lot with buying us more time along with the foresight I had from others by then.

HHN is too packed for that and I get it but Fan fest should just cost 10 more bucks a ticket and include it for everyone

Nah, paid early entry sucks. It took something that used to be free and accessible to all and threw up a financial barrier to entry that only exists to justify someone else's bonus.
