Genuine curiosity if the move is still on property -- I suppose tucked somewhere in Disney Springs? maybe another resort, but that seems unlikely -- or across town. Honestly the high prices and lousy service would keep them from competing elsewhere in the tourist district without the built-in audience of Disney Adults.

Barring a closure, is there an open space big enough available at Springs?

Sooo…. It’s gotta be going to Disney Springs right?

NBA Eperience is still open. It’d need to be gutted but the location near House of Blues, Splitsville, and CityWorks would be perfect. The place would draw crowds before and after concerts the time.

Great thought, but Gustin later tweeted not anywhere on WDW property.

My first guess is the owner is blowing smoke -- remember The Bad Place announced this months ago but JR staff denied it vehemently -- my second would be Pointe Orlando or Icon Park. The former still definitely has some holes, even with Dick's Last Resort and Taffer's Tavern allegedly on the way. But they'll need to lower the cover and offer better service to have a fighting chance.

Or they move to Downtown Orlando-- lot's of vacancies there at the moment. Or Flamingo Crossing since CPs make up a large part of their audience.

Isn’t downtown Orlando undergoing major changes right now? Seems like a lot of investing to make it more desirable to visit for locals, both housing and dining and entertainment. Been 10 years or so since the Dr Phillips Center opened so feels time for another revamp in some areas. Doesn’t hurt that the Magic should be back in the playoffs for the foreseeable future.

Downtown Orlando has been quiet for some time now. The incident in October last year kind of drove people away more. It's occasionally busy if there's events nearby at Kia Center or Dr. Phillips.

They're currently working on adding more parks and improving Downtown's appearance, but not sure if it'll drive nighttime entertainment.

It'll do well on I-Drive or Margaritaville. Outside that, it's hard to find a decent location.

Even 20 years ago the downtown crowd was no longer a dueling piano bar crowd (generally tourists and locals 35+)--hence Howl at the Moon's move from Church Street to I-Drive. Everything I've seen indicates that demographic trend has only continued.

Margaritaville a thought, as I guess is that new development across from Celebration if it ever gets built. But I maintain I-Drive is the most likely option, if it actually reopens locally. I still don't believe the vast majority of Disney tourists will follow them though, will need to appeal to convention-goers, Brits and locals.

and...Pat O'Briens piano bar at City Walk basically locks up the Universal and near local crowd. I love piano bars, but the customer base/demographic is limited.
