Higgledy ... love that they are introducing an all new character in this ride
It's why they've already been testing most of the rides (True Gringotts had issues, but FJ didn't and that was brand new tech too. There had been robotic arms, but none mounted on a vehicle driving itself around)My fear is that the more a ride becomes "advanced" the more chances it has to break down. I hope I am wrong but I remember the down times for Gringotts. And from the sounds of it the Ministry Ride is going to be more complex than that.
FJ had it's fair share of down time, at first, as well. It just happens, it is what it is.It's why they've already been testing most of the rides (True Gringotts had issues, but FJ didn't and that was brand new tech too. The positive take I can give is these rides are meant to entertain and wow for decades, not the first few months. Just work things out as best you can. I certainly don’t want them to ever be less ambitious due to being worried the ride being down too much.
Very little... I went almost daily and could always get on FJ. Hagrid's on the other hand...FJ had it's fair share of down time, at first, as well. It just happens, it is what it is.
Hagrid's is worth every bit of trouble that that ride has caused the engineers at Universal Orlando, and more. I would say the same thing of Rise at WDW. I imagine this will be all the same.FJ had some early hiccups. Gringott's had major downtime early on, but they worked it out. Hagrid's has had more downtime and continuing issues (Intamin?).
Each major Potter attraction has become more complex/cutting edge resulting in more "technical difficulties".
Based on what came before, (FJ, Gringott's, and Hagrid's), I am excited to see what Universal Creative is gonna throw at us, downtimes and all.
