This thread will be of niche interest, but so will this entire board in a few hours so  ! :nervous:

Some of my favorite HHN memories are from the final moments of each event. If you are here for the final event night, do you have any plans? What house, zone, show or other offering are you saying goodbye to? I'd love to hear!

Yesterday was my first night, so I'm just trying to get as many house runs in as possible tonight. This is easily the best HHN event I have ever been to.

Sadly had to miss farewell runs on half the houses, since I have to work in the morning. I did have a very good final Terrifier run and event-best runs through Artista, Galkn, and Fallout though. Last house was Hatchet & Chains (finally got a fully-staffed run so I could see the improvements everyone was talking about), then I departed through the Springfield/Cat Lady/Mel's/Masquerade/Origins corridor, which was a nice way to go out through the extra street energy that made this year so special.

In a standstill standby queue because express seems to be completely oversold tonight. In all realness though hitting the last NF followed by walking the zones and ending it off with Terrifier

So in years past, you can "gauntlet run" a few houses towards the end of the night... but last night express was horrendously oversold and made it pretty difficult. Didn't see any houses posted below 45 except fro Grave.

Last HNF show was, as always, terrific and crowds were excited.

Closing down Wyatt Sicks.

That post-HHN Sprite was so crispy, and necessary.

My very last night on Friday consisted of me speed running whatever was under 20 mins in my vicinity (in this case, Grave of Flesh, El Artista and Wyatt Sicks) then bidding farewell to Art the Clown one last time. I was starting to drift off in line after 2AM, but it was worth it for one of the best houses this decade and a great close to a Top 3 event year for me personally.

After watching the 12:30 (last) show of Nightmare Fuel (here's my post about it), we headed over to Fallout and Galkyn, hitting each a couple of times before ending the night on Galkyn. We were amongst the last group through, cheering on and praising the scareactors as we walked through. We turned back and heard a Team Member announce that Galkyn had won the house of the year an award!

EDIT
See below - apparently they won the House Production award. My group must have misheard (I double checked with my group and that's what they say they heard, but witness testimony can be bad lol), or whoever was shouting that info had been given the wrong info.

They pull a 2011 where two houses win?

Just got it clarified. “House Production”

Terrifier was “House of the Year”.

I went yesterday for the closeout, though my wife and I were at Islands and Studios all day so we pooped out shortly after midnight. But, the final house we did was my favorite, Terrifier, which is also the first one I did this year. And just like on Premium Scream Night, Art the Clown was waiting on the outside of the house. We mime bantered about all my Terrifier merchandise and what a great job he had done this year, I gave Art a high five, and entered the house for the final time. It felt poetic, and I choked up a little, as much as you can anyway before being entertained by a murderous clown. :)
