My local theme park is building something new, Pixarus, it's being build in a Helix of a wing coaster.

Fun difference from building in The Netherlands compared US.
In The Netherlands most rocks (depending on size) are real, the same for wood and bricks (for walls or paving).

Some concept art is presented for smaller experiences realized this year. Toverland is on a roll!

This is the magical clock called Pendulus Magicus.

Sparky's splash dock is a water play area.

Little Dragons is a play area for the youngest guests.

Waterdwarf Alley is an interactive display area.

I love that European theme parks take the "theme" part seriously. Most American parks have really lost their way.

Funny fact, we call it a pretpark (fun park). This park still has some sparsely themed areas but they slowly are adding theming to them while expanding their offer. It clearly results in higher guest appreciation.

I think they'd see the same here if Six Flags, Cedar Fair, SeaWorld, etc. built more themed attractions, but they all pay more attention to spreadsheets than what guests want.

I guess it does helps Toverland is slap in the middle of Efteling and PhantasiaLand in Germany.

This ride is going quick. We got some nice detailing on the top.
Not sure the details are being picked up when on floor level but it looks cool.

I love how Toverland is also investing in play areas for the smallest of kids.

Yep, if anything they planted a lot of trees to make it as green as possible. Efteling is even 80% trees (park) and they can't change that. They can expand (a bit) but they need to be very smart.

In a very short time, during a wet winter and cold spring, Toverland created 4 new rides, a few interactive displays and 2 small play area's for children and it's looking great. It opens the first of July.
