Some background, Transformers broke down and I e-mailed USH and they responded with 2 FOTLs and food/drink vouchers. Also, if you want to see more construction pics first, scroll down to June 7th, then read the rest.
So I visited USH on June 5th (or 4th..) at about midday.
The NBCUniversal tower
What used to be Fung Lum, now what will be the new 500 room hotel (also my finger)
I was too cheap to pay for 15$ parking, so I waited for the shuttle.
Remember those FOTLs and food vouchers? I went to Guest Services to redeem them and not only did I get the FOTLs, but:
UNIVERSAL DOLLARS! I never knew about these things, but these are 2002 issues so I assume they are pretty rare nowadays. I got 20$ in them, by the way.
I believe this is Hogsmeade due to the pointy roofs, but I'm not completely sure.
The castle's steelwork coming up quickly
I've never actually been to Animal Actors, this was my first time. The show was ok, I suppose.
I really like USH's themed city streets. Although, the DM:MM show building sticks out like a sore thumb <_<
The view from the top of the Parisian Courtyard
I was lucky enough to go to SSFL when they were filming a commercial (that was on June 7th)
But before we leave, the famous SSFL boardwalk!
And a tasty freeze ray smoothie. When I paid for thus in Uni $, the cashier said she hadn't seen those in 15 years, thankfully she still remembered how to sue them. The smoothie itself was nice, although a bit tingy. It was around $4.79, although you do get a souvenir cup.
And the worst ride in the whole park. Anyone know why the red carpet was blocked?
And down through the boredom that is the StarWay. Same music every time. However, there is some scaffolding on the side of it. Any ideas?
My favorite director!
Uncle Snoop ridin Jurrasic park!
I saw series specific replicas, (for example a Optimus bust at TF) scattered around the park. Have these always been there? I've never seen em before.
On to my fav ride!
The employees were amazing! They were making (good) jokes, getting the riders pumped, having dance competitions between the people waiting in line, the winner getting a FOTL pass, it was great. One of the things I love about USH. Also, I saw NO blocky projection whatsoever! Props to USH for this. I hope it stays that way.
With my remaining Universal $, I bought a cool TF Mug.
Exiting the park
And the trusty occupy Universal guy. Blocked his face for security reasons, but you all know what he looks like.
June 7th
I was in the Hollywood area, so I took a quick trip (After 1 day, I know, crazy) to USH. Here's some full-res construction pics:
That's it for this time, all in all, (this will sound horribly cliche) 2 great days at my favorite theme park in the world.
