Was gonna post my own photo earlier, but it looks like they got better out of service covers compared to the first one we saw back when the land first opened:

Okay, while I understand where you are coming from, I think continuity/true storytelling at Universal is RARELY well done.

You mentioned HP and that land is a primary example.

Understand, this is not singling you out as many people overlook the lore of HP, but from day one things felt “off” in the Wizarding World to me and that feeling never left.

Then, some time later, someone perfectly encapsulated my issues:
Theme Park Thoughts: Harry Potter & The Forbidden Journey

Nintendo’s main issue to me is that there’s just not enough to do. Having both rides plus the mini games makes it feel like a Mario Party type mash up as someone else said. Not that I think the Yoshi ride looks great (it doesn’t), but it at least offers ANOTHER ride based game, making the land feel more fleshed out and play oriented.
Oooooo, that read gave me a new perspective on Wizarding World. Appreciated. And that reviewer lowkey sounds like me when critiquing Bowser's Challenge, hahaha. There's a lot of good points in there. I'm not into Potter so I didn't know details were widely off. That was a very cathartic read.

I guess continuity/true storytelling just isn't Universal's strong suite.

But yeah, SNW really needs more to do. If it had more activities, I think the tinker and conceptualizer part of my brain would probably remain dormant as I'd be preoccupied. My feelings would remain the same, but at least there would be more to do.

With the parks being able to stay open later then years past, when does Universal have time to really give the land some fresh paint and cleaning areas?

Or do they just need to spend more on night crews? Is Japan's version looking better then USH version?

My issue with this land is that you have to spend money on one of those bands to fully experience it. Without one of the bands, you’re basically getting a demo/trial version of the land. I don’t feel like I’m missing out when I’m in Hogsmeade without a wand because I can just watch other people use theirs and get the same benefit. In this game land, you can’t participate in any of the games or the Boss Level (arguably the core focus of the land) if you don’t want to spend an extra $40 in addition to the cost of entry. Without the band, you have access to one single attraction, a restaurant that’s almost impossible to get into, and a gift shop. I’m concerned about the direction this will mean for future interactive areas, for both Uni and its competitors.

I feel like after you do it once, your kinda fine with not doing it again for a while.

The land is too busy for me to care to bring my band most times now, I hope in the next year the hype dies down but I'm not waiting 15 mins for these mini games. They are fun but nothing I need to wait 15 mins for to play

While they can be fun to play the Koopa/Crank Game especially are like Hogwart Wands, someone scans in and something happens, the sleeping plant is kinda in that as well. The touch game and boss are really the only thing's your missing out on and once you've done it once, there is zero reasons to do many again unless your collecting stamps

I would not be too worried, at least at USH. We might get Pokemon but if Potter land come the wands will be what they use so at maz you will need a wand, Nintendo band and maybe Pokemon device. The bands will be cheap on the second hand market in the next year and they might have sales at some point as well like the wands

I'd rather have some games like this and get lands that are alive vs the crap Disney did with the MCU land

I gotta say, Universal releasing the IOA soundtrack on YouTube really gives me hope that they can do a release of SNW's music in that same way.

This way they can just release the current music from what's currently open and just add the DK music once it opens. That way we don't have to wait until Epic Universe's opening for a CD or anything of the land music. I just hope Nintendo's okay with it since I'm sure they co-own the music rights.

I have no idea if it will be YT because of Nintendo but for sure at some point we will get the soundtrack.

Well, I don't think a YT is upload is out of the question if this is anything to go by. :eyes:

So yeah, this wouldn't be the first time Nintendo's done this (which they honestly should do more of, but that's a different ballpark).

Been a while since I've been to USH. What are the current best methods to get into NintendoWorld, ride Mario Kart and do Toadstool Cafe?!

Start your day at Super Nintendo World and start early, start early, start early! Get to Mario Kart Bowser's Challenge the moment you get into the land, and if you're able to, take the single rider line to minimize the wait. As for Toadstool Café, you can reserve a spot starting at 7AM (you don't even need to be in the park yet!) here for your best chance at getting a time slot. Basically, my priorities would be Toadstool reservation --> Mario Kart --> key games & Bowser Jr. --> meeting the characters --> eating at Toadstool. That way you should get the best possible experience at SNW.

And of course if you want the best experience, you'll have to splurge $20 on early entry. A lot less people than during normal operating hours. It's how it be in this smol park. :/

Basically have EE or get there at normal rope drop and use single rider

Hopefully early next year the hype dies down for a few weeks before spring break

I hope so, universal been at peak for a long time now
It will be weeks if we are lucky but Spring break, will be packed again. Then maybe a few days here and there but then bam summer is back. Then its HHN/Christmas and even if F&F doesn't open by Next Christmas it will by Feb 2025 so then it will get busy again for the rest of the year.

I will say while most days are busy, many rides by night time do become walk on's because many people are coming here mainly for SNW and seem to ignore the rest of the parks in the morning/night time, witch exceptions like the Simpsons that have low capacity so are busy basically all day

I got a group of 5-6, so a one hour wait isn't the worst case scenario. I think any longer than that, it's a bit of a nightmare. But with the inflated time being in half, it saying 90-120, it could actually be 45-60?

I do agree the pay to play aspect of the land is frustrating. But likely also necessary, as the lines would be even worse if it was a free for all.

I feel it probably will work better in Japan and Florida, which will have three attractions when all is said and done.

But Hollywood’s really does suffer from just having one attraction for the entire land.

lol

could you imagine the lines if these games were Free, lol

Even now at 40 bucks the lines are to me insane. The games are fun but....like I don't want to wait more then 10 mins for most of them
