I kept forgetting to ask this, but I take there's no photo ops with him, and all there is are the live shows? Given the show turnouts reflecting his popularity, I can see why he's not meetable but it's kind of a shame. I also wish they'd make him permanent since this is the most fun I've ever had watching a face character in the Disney parks.

I'm excited to see what Imagineering comes up with for Infinity Defense in Avenger's Campus. But what I really think guests/fans would get excited about in Avenger's Campus in a themed roller coaster. DCA only has one roller coaster and it's not really themed...but that's what would make this park feel more complete (and worth the same ticket price as Disneyland, which has three themed coasters).

I think that a Cosmic Rewind scope of coaster would be possible using the underwhelming Web Slinger building for the entry/queue and load/unload. An elevated launch tunnel would race above Pym Test Kitchen inside a translucent blue tunnel with Spider-Man hex pattern, providing kinetic energy to the land. The gravity building would be behind/east of Mission: Breakout, requiring some backstage services to be relocated and a reduction of the access road.

Here are some images showing this location, plus a comparison of Cosmic Rewind, and an image I used ChatGPT to create of the proposed elevated launch tunnel.

I'm interested in what people think of this idea.

The Guardians overlay has been putting all sorts of stresses on the TOT ride system, so it makes sense it would need a decent refurb.

Now, why wouldn't the person who designed this overlay take that into consideration and make the necessary adjustments to...

It’s been open almost eight years, some things just wear out over time no matter what.

I agree with your point that DCA could use an indoor coaster like Cosmic Rewind. However, your building location is on top of a bunch of electrical equipment, a service building, and eliminates back of house access to Hollywood Land and half of Buena Vista Street.

Without Mission breakout, Avengers Campus is 100% skippable.

Depends on who you are

1) Pyms Test Kitchen is pretty good
2) the Characters are great but if your not into that then sure not much to do

I'll explain my thinking:
  1. The impacted structures are not expensive buildings, they are modular kit warehouses/industrial buildings or one step up. Backstage structures of this level were removed for Galaxy's Edge.
  2. The wide roadway at that location is for routing guest cars for parking and are not necessary with the Eastern Gateway garage (and may not even be used as such anymore anyway; I included a detail image showing stuff being stored in the roadway behind Pixar Pier to suggest it's not being used for guest parking access). I've included an image showing the necessary clearance of show building-to-property line at Galaxy Edge as example of what is likely necessary.
  3. Yes, the electrical/mechanical equipment would be impacted. Perhaps it could be relocated, moved to the roof of the gravity building, or left where it is in an open ground level of the gravity building (imagine the ground level of a parking garage which can sometimes have tall loading dock spaces such as at an urban mall).
The main image shows these aspects and a blue shaded area for the gravity building, which shows the land is currently mostly asphalt/concrete.

I'm not denying the impacts but we've seen similar impacts at Disneyland (and there would be similar impacts if the rumors are right that Coco is going behind Pixar Pier). Land-wise, DCA is a small park and they will need to recapture land creatively and with some investment (the coaster would be a $500 million project, so it's not a trivial investment overall). The trade-off here is to have the park's first and only themed coaster, which to me is a "must." Hollywood Studios is getting its third coaster soon. I don't see another place to put it if Avatar is taking Hollywood.

yeah, i think the walk around characters are actually the best attraction in avengers campus. kids love them and the performers do a great job. and test kitchen (okay, the bar) is also great.

Even with it, the land is skippable.

I can only tolerate NOT-ToT during haunt season when it is the "Monsters After Dark" version of the ride.

Disney Cancels Avengers Campus Stunt Show at California Adventure | Chip and Company

Hopefully this is a sign construction work on infinity defense/stark flight lab will really kick up a notch. The access to the top of the Avengers HQ will probably be impacted by the work site behind, which starts with demoing the trolley barn, readjusting access points for the construction work, then the demo.

Yes. Their counter moves after successful unionization basically says it all. And that anti union attitude goes all the way back to Saint Walt.

Finishing Born Again, and I’m surprised, is there any plans on bringing Daredevil to the area?
