The film strip is also on Orlando's map, so it is most likely hinting at an IP.

Oh. Well so much for that post.

I guess it’s Blumhouse then. No way they’re not gonna capitalize off of Black Phone and M3gan this year.

Man this thread exploded. Geez.

I’m gonna have to agree that the ghost in the spyglass is Scream. C’mon everyone. Okham’s razor.

I understand locations are usually not correct, but if that film strip is implying what I think it is, Hollywood’s version of Slaughter Sinema? TWDA would be PERFECT for that concept because that indoor hallway at the beginning could easily be transformers into a movie theater lobby (Which I hope they do if this is true)

Also THREE originals in one year? I’m down! I guess they know the IPs they will have will be big enough to where they don’t “have” to have another IP.

You see, my first thoughts also went to the film reel being Hollywood's Slaughter Sinema but then looking over at Orlando, they have the same exact logo as well for one of their mazes so it seems to actually be an IP instead since they literally just got Slaughter Sinema 2 and it doesn't seem like they'd go for a third one this year, they'll probably go back to the property in a couple of years though, no doubt about it.

FNAF would be the headliner over Terrifier and Scream?

Yes.

FNAF made more than any Scream movie. Its WW box office is almost the same as the first two Scream movies combined.

Terrifier is a tiiiiiiny niche franchise compared to FNAF.

I'm also a bit more precarious with this map because it's just reasserting the echo chamber of very, very popular rumors of houses/ IPs that have been going around. It seems *too* lenient on reconfirming biases (especially for properties/ niches fans REALLY want) rather than providing anything brand new or surprising.

If FNAF is coming then the guy Scott had to have a change of heart or universal paid him a lot of money to use it

Also the costumes are gonna be pretty expensive right? They won’t be latex I hope lol…

Kinda this. While I find spec maps amusing, I never really take them very seriously. Versions 1-8 are all over the place, then version 9 comes out right before things are announced, and people are like, "See? It was right!"

I feel like every freaking year, FNAF, Conjuring, and Scream come up. If it finally does this year, that's great. Until then, forgive me for saying it sounds like a broken record.

FNAF, Scream, Conjuring, Fallout, and Terrifier just sound way, WAY too stacked to be in the same year. If it actually happens, I will eat my hat and then dread the crowds. It’s possible but talk about a crazy lineup.

Switch Conjuring with HoB M3GAN and The Black Phone and I think it's an even more stacked lineup. The merch will sell like hotcakes

Not sure why these IPs are any different from previous years... have we forgotten already that pre-apocalypse, this event had "the big 3" in 2007/2008 (then again in 2016/17 + others). Murdy's main "go to" was also "What's currently popular", but also securing IPs that were always just out of reach (Exorcist, Shining, etc)

If this ends up being anything close to our official line-up, then it won't be anything groundbreaking. Reality is, we've always gone for big name IPs or celebrity names attached.

Well, yeah but there are some huge white whales that are coming to this event if even part of this is true.

I’m convinced the rumor that Scott shut down the first house directly because he didn’t want it was false. There have been multiple licensed FNAF houses in Saudi Arabia that didn’t seem to have any oversight at all.

Now I’m sure he would be much more directly involved in an HHN house because it’s a bigger deal, but I think the first house probably fell through due to timing/space/technology restrictions or because Universal wanted to exclusively base it on the first movie and Scott didn’t think that was enough material to work with. I don’t think he’s anti-HHN or wanted more money or something.

I think Fallout is going to stay where it is. I mentioned it on the 34 Thread, will mention it here; but I do think it is the "Stranger Things" of the event to a point of where the audience for the IP will need to warrant that of a venue like that.

(*honestly I don't rule out Fallout in SS12, because of the space gained from that of the venue being the largest on the lot either*). I think overall it makes sense, especially considering just how popular the show was and as @HydraGen2299 talked with me about--the TV screens and sound design being a potential proponent to help set a atmosphere to the house.

The Weeknd and Stranger Things to an extent flourish with this; because I think the best way I describe SS15 is the "Party Venue". Set it with the right IP that can have music, and I think it becomes a bop venue that flourishes in activity as a result. I also think Fallout in either of the big soundstages (or UBE) would allow them to not compromise on scale either.

Terrifier feels like it'd be a solid "Tent" house for locations. I don't think you need to have a large amount of space in it, and to focus more on the intensity of Art's actions and his "Actions" as a actor.

As for Scream in UBE? Ordinarily I'd say a slasher house doesn't really *need* UBE or a soundstage, but Scream is a very unique IP to where I almost kind of jokingly wonder if Universal is taking no chances with either coast, and is keeping those houses in venues where it'd be "Defcon Red Security" to prevent leaks (and to not anger Paramount/Spyglass). Considering Scream's...candid history with HHN; I actually don't rule it out a single bit (same goes for SS22 in Orlando).

Ye fallout is very much gonna fit that part atmosphere that seems to be in ss15. Same thing with the bar. The thing in ss12 fits that location better I just don’t know if they’re gonna go all out or if it’ll just be a tent house copy and pasted in there

green lighting houses in saudi arabia isn’t exactly compelling evidence that money isn’t a factor lmao

If it was up to me, an alternate Dark Universe with a different name to disassociate it from Epic would be the Simpsons replacement. All the classic monsters including the ones from Epic, but heavier focus on monsters that aren’t in the spotlight there.

Completely different ride but with the same budget and detail as Unchained, and plenty of focus on and reverence for the history of the monster’s relationship with Hollywood and Universal. Heavily themed stores and Three Broomsticks level restaurant/s so the park finally has a third decent sit-down food option.

IMO Pokémon absolutely needs to come and would probably be the thing to take USH from a popular locals park to almost rivaling Disneyland, but that can go to the lower lot. It would be borderline disrespectful if the monsters didn’t come to the property that created them sooner than later.

Yes, but couldn’t that in theory change if Universal offered enough money??

The thing is Universal did offer money for it. Lots, and lots of money. I’m having trouble believing WB just finally let it happen.
