yes if you buy any switch in japan aside from a select one from the nintendo store is Japanese region locked.

I hate how this is probably thinking ahead of the curve on tariffs and as a result everything is ridiculously overpriced, but even worse that I am definitely buying that bundle (and maybe a new pro controller).

More so from what I'm hearing, with the weak yen, they don't want the Pokémon card situation where tourists come and buy up all the supply to resell back in where they live at a markup living the residents of Japan, their main audience fighting to get a switch which is understandable but tariffs did probably pay a part.

The biggest shock to me was the new FromSoft IP. Even if it’s a multiplayer title, a game of FromSofts scale and with Miyazakis direction is such a massive W for Nintendo.

Feels incredibly weird that Sony didn’t want to do anything with Bloodbourne, to the point where Nintendo has taken the initiative to do something unique.

When it comes to the exclusive games, Mario Kart World looks great, and I'm pretty excited for Donkey Kong Banaza, too. Never really got into the souls games, so the exclusive from FromSoft doesn't move the needle for me, even less so hearing it's potentially more of a multiplayer game.

The price of the console is about what I expected, though the price of the games is a bit of a sticker shock. But it's bound to help sell that bundle with MKW.

Though even with that said, I'd say the biggest "Nintendo's gonna' Nintendo" moment is charging for Welcome Tour. Apparently there's a good chunk of mini-games on there, but with the way they presented it, it really looks like they're charging for a tutorial/tech demo. Seems like they didn't learn from 1-2 Switch.

Donkey Kong 64 is one of my favorite games of all time, so consider me EXTRAORDINARILY excited for Bananza. Crazy though that it's coming from the Odyssey team, which suggests we might not be seeing a new 3D Mario until 2028 at the earliest.

I am a big fan of they way nintendo is handling sales of the system on their site to prevent scalpers(register but need nintendo online account, 50+ hours of playtime). Hoping to score one that way, but the only downside is they don't start allocating those until May.

It's at least a better option for retail than a code in a box, as you can easily share it with friends/family or sell it. Still, I'm not sure if I would bother with it.

None of the 1st party games so far utilize these download cartridges, but most of the announced high-profile 3rd party games do, which is a concerning trend...

I highly doubt they’d let you use 1 card to download games on multiple Switches.

You will most likely be able to download the game on as many systems as you like. You will just need the game card inserted to play. This system is not new, I have plenty of PS5 games who do this exact thing.
