Up until pretty recently, it was literal Rock-It science. badumtissh

Plenty of hospitality students and related majors use it as a foot in the door to higher positions within the parks, they have genuine interest in being/staying there and aren't only there because it pays better than something else in the area. But even without them, I still know many people from other parks who are interested in the career growth opportunities down the line that Universal talks about in every step of the hiring process and still never got anywhere

Reading this is all very concerning - my hope is that the Monsters preshow is up and running within 3.5 weeks - and between 2 days I'm sure we'll see Stardust running both sides at some point.

Positive thoughts, right? ..... right?

When it comes to Stardust, a lot of the opening team had come from HRRR so I imagine they have a pool of experienced TM's that could quickly be relocated and on-boarded over to Stardust if its 'issues' are truly staffing related.

I do understand that Stardust is a much better experience when both sides are in sync, but I do wondering how much of a staffing change it is to run two sides together. In all my years of visiting parks, many seem to start the day off with fewer trains than are running later in the day, I even recall days (long b4 Fastpass) when Space Mountain opened with only one side.

Anyway, I think I am trying to say that most parks seem to be in no rush to get roller coaster up to full capacity until the afternoon and if that sort of staffing school of thought doesn't work with a racing type set of coasters.

Still the best Epic line tip....It's been three weeks now, including tonight, almost without exception....the stand by lines are tolerable after
7:00 PM/7:30 PM. Lowest waits of the day, by far..........If you can survive the heat, stay late.....or go in the morning early entry....back to your
Universal hotel pool early afternoon when the sun is hottest.....and hop back to the park for the evening. Really, the only comfortable way
to tour Epic, and beat those 1 to 2 hour lines for most every ride.

That’s what we did too. We went back in the afternoon and came back later. The park is also so beautiful at night.

What time do you think they will close the park in the January/February timeframe when it gets dark much earlier?

They typical close USF/IOA at 7PM due to it being seen as the historical "slow season" (even though it's become more popular to visit during this time, but I digress).

Seems like they're sticking with Epic opening an hour after the other two, so likely 8-9PM?

Someone today posted on one of my Epic Facebook groups that they got covered in puke on Stardust, they did manage to get comped tshirts but only after 30 minutes (With puke in hair) of looking for a manager.

Has this ever happened to anyone else, even on another coaster?

(Theres a lot to be said for queuing for front rows)

Sorry to bring back the staffing conversation, but is Universal even hiring ride ops right now? I checked the website out of curiosity and there's nothing for ride ops there.

Person next to me on unchained once was looking real uneasy and I spent most of the ride preparing myself mentally for it to happen. Now I’m haunted on every thrill ride since.

It could happen.

It could happen.

My nephew and I were riding the Volcano ride at Kennywood park some years back. The teenage girl sitting next to him threw up all over him. A real high volume of vomit for sure....Stuff happens.

Once saw a video of it happening on a coaster and it proceeded to spray everyone who was seated behind them :confounded:. Legit my fear. Front row only :sob:

Will this park eventually get its own parking garage and version of Citywalk someday?
