It may just be my interpretation, but I was understanding the attendance projections to be for the site as a whole, not just the park. That would include "conference guests", people just visiting the City Walk area, and any other ancillary spaces they have in mind that we haven't yet had defined. I wonder if these additions are part of what makes the attendance projections higher than we might otherwise expect.

The conference guests would come under Future Year projections, the 8.5m is for the theme Park only.

Apologies if this has already been spotted and discussed… but I scrolled to the bottom of the Universal UK website and noticed that Jurassic Park, Minions, James Bond and Dr Who have all been mentioned in the copyright section.

Do ignore me if this is old news

This will just be in relation to any imagery used on the website.

That would make sense. I cannot see any reference to Dr Who or James Bond on their website though… I may have just missed it somewhere. Would be interesting to see if they materialise though!

That's a fake website that was copying the actual site's content and then added the copyrights to troll people.

Ah! Well that’s a really lame thing to do. Thanks for pointing that out!

Here’s a thread I wrote about it back in April. It’s wild that fake site is still up.

Well done for spotting that one! It’s definitely wild that it’s still online, and also wild how realistic it looks… Thanks for the info

Ok so we have 80 acres all told with 28 BoH, that leaves 132 acres for Citywalk, the road connecting to Manor Road, the Transport Hub and car parks. I really think they can accomodate more Park 'space' without being overly constrained. The main car park will be at worst 70 acres, leaving 60 acres for everything else.

Honestly I think we should wait until they drop new concept art before denigrating the Park as too small or not enough for the crowds expected. The current art we got is oriented the wrong way, vague in multiple places and the 'expansion pads' are far more than 17 acres. I'm also not entirely certain that the planning docs Core Zone layout is set in stone - there's no actual concrete figure on the maximum size of the Park in the Core Zone, only a hard minimum.

They have 199 Acres of actual usable space the contain everything when working within the planning parameters that have been set out.
Parking lot - 47 (not 70) Acres
Theme Park- 80 acres
Northern BOH 28 acres
total 155 acres

leaving 44 acres for City Walk, entrance plaza, hotel, hotel parking, hotel roads, hotel boh, Parking entry plaza, pedestrian walking areas and additional areas for BOH. as well as Site roads to get around the entire site and landscaping buffer space around the fringes of the site. that list covers those remaining acres.

The concept art is not orientated the wrong way. the concept art demonstrated a master plan for the park, which subsequently aligns with the planning documents of which set the parameters of what is actually usable, I am not "denigrating" the park as this second park i've covered from the same stages, I am being realistic, based on experience.

Maybe the company who wants to build this solar farm etc could just be submitting planning applications as a way to nudge Universal. Maybe they don’t actually want to build anything and they’re hoping Universal makes them a generous offer for the land.

A bit of a ruse maybe to push Universal into a decision.

Thankfully the Netherlands slowly starts to realize that solar farms on land (for a country as small as ours) is a waist of space and results in net congestion. Putting solar panels on roofs doesn't take up space an a lot of that energy is instantly sucked up by the building having less impact on the congestion.
Maybe if Universal needs big storage warehouses they can make a deal to put solar on it or something similar like this.
