From what I've read on here and everywhere else

I don't know how I would blame Universal,

The changes suck for some but also if Universal does nothing then it leaves them open for more bad things to happen

Lastly, at least for me I've gone on Coasters that make me not well. So I avoid many extreme coasters like X2 and so on, Universal can warn us all they want but it also comes down to knowing ones self a little as well and knowing your limits.

Its sad this happened and hopefully the new rule makes sure this doesn't happen again

I also know most don't want this last part but also....can coasters just be more fun? All the record breaking and just making things bigger just because Big Thunder and Space mountain are super fun and don't need to break records or go at insane speeds. I know many thrill seekers think they can ride these forever but you only have X amount of years for most people to ride these intense coaster and would not mind more coasters being about fun over making people's bodies feel off and more likley to see people pass away on them. X2 (six flags) had someone have an incident as well and these high intense coasters to me just silly, the HTTY coaster is much less intense and gets good lines and people like it

So my two cents as well is it would be nice to see more fun coasters over ones that go beyond your bodies limits. I know it wont happen but just my two cents I see most moderate thrills coasters at Universal parks doing just as well as the intense ones

Siren’s curse at Cedar point is a great example of this. It’s not a major record-breaking roller coaster but it is insanely fun. I’m getting to the age where roller coasters have more effect on my body. I’ll always love the high thrill, but like you said there just comes a point in time where I need to recognize my limits for my sake, and for the ones I love around me.

I thought rides would never make me feel sick or “not normal” but hang time at Knotts had me dizzy. So I don’t like to ride it. I’m good on everything else tho! And I have been on everything on the west coast pretty much.

I don't see the public buying Crump's game. Just an anecdotal example....The Epic FB thread, that has around 150,000
followers, has had an overwhelming response supporting Universal on the who can ride policy change.......
And I seriously doubt that the Florida political situation would support any major change in ride regulation............
Also, comments just about everywhere I've read, social and regular media, express sympathy for the deceased, but not support
for permitting guests to ride that are unable to walk onto the ride........I think Crump's tactics haven't helped him to land much
public support. And the way he has handled it has basically put him in the limelight, instead of the deceased. I guess it'll earn him more work,
as those ambulance chasers always look for, but it's clearly attorney self serving. He'll get his 40% from some future settlement.

Seems most people are viewing this as an unfortunate 'accident', sympathy for the deceased, but not blaming the ride or Universal.

the only problem I see online is that when I looked for comments on Twitter or YouTube comments or even Instagram ( under the news posts from local news) is that most of the comments are from theme park fans and coaster fans.
so most of it, if not all conversation is happening from park fans.
but as for your every day, regular normal people of families, I have not really find any opinions, is really hard for me to find any ( and that matters a little since these news basically went global)

a lot of other parks rely on regular roller coasters without much theming or animatronics or anything, that's how most coasters and parks are,
but with Disney and also universal, they have the budgets and technology and the pull to do things like the mummy ride or velocicoaster or Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, I agree, (I know some people love big fast coasters, but I do prefer more fun rides with more theming)

Haven’t had the chance to ride Stardust Racers yet. Is it similar intensity to Velocicoaster?

I would say so, with some saying Velocicoaster is slightly more intense.

Launches are less intense, but there's more airtime and a few more sudden jolts than the Velocicoaster. I think VC is more intense due to the top-hat and launches, but that's just me. There's less inverted time on Stardust.

Stardust definitely has more airtime but I think VC is actually more aggressive when it comes to jolting you around

Newly released 911 calls reveal the moments after Kevin Rodriguez Zavala was found unconscious on the Stardust Racers ride at Epic Universe in Orlando.

The calls, obtained by WESH 2, were made to Orange County Fire Rescue shortly after the incident.

"I have a guest on our ride vehicle who was called in as a head laceration, heavy bleeding. Our health services unit isn't quite on scene yet. Security is requesting an ambulance," the caller said.

Good point.... I've had two head injuries over the years. I bled profusely even though they were minor injuries.

I honestly despise the TMZ-ification of situations like this. Absolutely sucks all the way across the board. We don't need helicopter footage snooping in on a private moment of Team Members hugging after a traumatic situation. We don't need the 911 call. We don't need local news posting editorials about what some random person thinks should happen due to this ongoing situation. We don't need every single person's hot take. We don't need any of it and we all just lack humanity as a society. We can't even let the dust settle and the results come out before every single person ever jumps to conclusions that fit their "side".

It's pure sensationalism...............Reporting glorifies bad news, and basically ignores good news. Mostly for ratings, clicks etc. But it's been
that way for a long time. The 'yellow journalism' of the early 1900's was even worse. It's unfortunate, and as you say, 'lacks humanity', but
it's not just today's world.....it's the dark side of most every society throughout history.

It's infuriating. A real person died. Real people are traumatized. And instead of being good people and just sitting back and relaxing and letting everything play out & facts come out, everyone acts like absolute bastards.

And now these same Team Members are going to have guests harass them for the rest of their time in the park because of the rule changes and because they want to ask questions about what happened and they wanna know if the TMs were there when it happened and everything else.

All the while everyone endlessly speculates like they know a single thing about the incident, yet the "big bloggers" were just predicting that it wouldn't even open until late 2025/early 2026 just last week. Every shred of speculation on this is just an absolute waste of time and disgusting.
