I can think of a few things:
- Open Hollywoood Drift for HHN operations
- Additional House
- Maintain Two “Shows”
- Death Eaters Return to Hogsmeade
- Open SNW for all access (which requires them to retool Early Entry)
And that’s keeping the 8 current house venues (or moving one specific venue elsewhere to allow ADA Shuttle to take full use of a specific spot).
-Opening Hollywood Drift is going to help a
lot when it comes to absorbing crowds.
-I personally disagree with this. I'm afraid quality will suffer if we add one. Besides, it's a lot already with eight plus the tram. But if they simply
must add a ninth house, they can go with my suggestion below and keep the T-Pad.
-Maintaining two shows is something I hope they keep doing.
-Yes please. Bring the Death Eaters back!
-That would be great, but they won't if there's no pull to bring people back there (Which is why Potter is open). I have a solution I will post below.
In an ideal world, nearly every ride should be open including SNW (minus the Illumination stuff and Hippogriff), the Monsters and Beetlejuice should be on the Upper Lot in addition to a yearly roaming character like Art and Purge needs to be replaced with something new that’s actually marketed or at least listed on the app.
DWT should continue to have a yearly show, there should be photo ops throughout the park and possibly an exclusive character at the bar.
…Obviously, not all of that is possible. But surely they can implement at least a few things.
SNW can be open during the event if they do my suggestion below:
For my idea, there would be no house in T-Pad. Instead, we would have two houses inside of SS 12. There is one problem though: Having to go through JW to get to two houses would be quite the cluster, as we have seen this year with WWE being back there. How do you resolve this? Have everyone who wants to get to the two houses go to SNW.
As pictured below, you would enter SNW to get to the the two houses. This approach would be similar to Harry Potter with how you access the H-Lot houses. To enter, you would enter the backstage door to get to the houses. The arrows below would demonstrate how it would work. The red line shows the divide between traffic. Once you're done with the houses, you just exit through the Jurassic World play area like you did with WWE.
Now below, I will show how
massive SS 12 is. You can comfortably fit two large Stranger Things and Weeknd size houses in there, have room for queue space, and break areas for scareactors. I was a little generous with the SA Break areas so if you need to, you can shrink them some for more queue space.
Also, there would be a food stand (Ideally the glorious return of the taco truck form the Metro sets days), a bar, and temp restrooms similar to the H-Lot, Both houses would have a small exit way and would exit out through the backdoor of the sound stage. If people don't walk up to the food stands, the exit will force you to walk by it. That way if guests are hungry or want to grab a beer, they can do so before entering the second house or on their way back to the park.
So there you go. By doing this, you have two larger house venues with nearly unlimited space to work with, expanding the footprint a bit, creating more food areas, another place to use the restroom, and finally you have an excuse to open Mario Kart during the event. The only contingencies are that Nintendo would have to be okay with their land having the backstage doors open during the event and possibly the minigames being shut down for HHN. I can't imagine a lot of people will do the mini games. Also, this is assuming 12 will be available, which I think it will. Like Alexshow said, it was unavailable this year to store the boat for the Odyssey.
